The beginning of forever

In 2015 while hosting a charity event at a run-down Queen's ghetto house, Matt kindly offered his incredible DJ skills to supply the party with only the best tracks off his state-of-the-art iPod touch. Meanwhile, Natalya was grooving to Matt's tunes when they locked eyes from across the dance floor. Mustering up her courage with a quick pep talk from her friends, Natalya squeezed herself behind the makeshift DJ booth and introduced herself. She complimented his song choices but requested he play more Miley Cyrus. After they danced the night away, they became inseparable. He played her songs on his guitar and she baked him homemade cookies.

Since that fateful night, we have grown to become each other's best friends, partners, and cheerleaders. We have helped each other through countless exam seasons, graduations, move-ins and move-outs, and anything life decided to throw our way.

After moving in together, adopting a cat (named after our favourite morning beverage - Java ☕️), travelling all over the world, and over 6 loving years together, Matt proposed on August 25th, 2021 at Lighthouse Park in Vancouver. After graduating school and starting new jobs, we are now excited to plan our big day and start our new life in Toronto.
