Jake and Natalie met on the Hinge dating app because they both liked McDonald's. Dating is so hard outside of college! Natalie knew after the first date eating at Maggiano's and walking around the Keystone mall that Jake was going to be her next boyfriend. Natalie and Jake talked in his car for so long that his battery died the next morning... Jake, however, was skeptical about Natalie's interest in him and thought she was "just being nice". But things progressed from there just as Natalie had hoped! Things became official the following month when Natalie introduced Jake to her horse Leo and Jake asked Natalie to be his girlfriend shortly after.
Jake had written Natalie a letter a few days before, but didn't allow her to open it until Saturday morning. When Natalie opened it, it was super sweet and told her to come to the red bridge on their usual walking path in Zionsville. Natalie immediately panicked, as she had slept in (surprise, surprise) and couldn't stop smiling all morning as she got ready and drove up to meet Jake at Turkey Foot Park. Jake proposed on the red bridge as hinted at, and they had a nice rest of the day visiting family, eating at a fancy restaurant, and going to the Thomas Rhett concert downtown.
