Zoo Knoxville
A mid-sized zoo, the Knoxville Zoo hosts many animals and has recently opened a reptile house. Visit the baby gorillas, tigers, and red pandas over an afternoon at a price of ~$30 per person.
Dollywood
Dollywood is an amusement park located in Pigeon Forge at the foot of the Smoky Mountains. With a variety of rollercoasters and other rides, you could easily spend the greater part of a day exploring Dollywood. This time of year, it will be set up to celebrate the holiday season, so enjoy the festive cheer.
Old City
This corner of downtown Knoxville hosts many popular bars, restaurants and music venues. This walkable area provides many options for a fun evening out, a short distance away from the Market Square and the Happy Holler area.
Market Square
An open square flanked on each side with upscale dining and shopping options, Market Square is generally considered the heart of Knoxville's downtown. On weekends it hosts a farmer's market to browse for locally made produce and artisan crafts. By November, if the weather permits, an ice rink is also set up in the center of the square for people to skate.

The Great Smoky Mountains national park has been one of the most visited national parks in the US for the past few years. See the beautiful mountains either from your car as many views can be seen from your vehicle, or explore the many hiking and walking trails of any difficulty to see the gorgeous vistas on foot.
