We're getting married!

Connor & Natalie first met at Natalie's parents' farmplace when Connor attended a surprise New Year's Eve gathering at the Henriksen house. Connor, being a former coworker of Natalie's dad at the bank, was invited to surprise Phil for starting his own insurance agency with some fellow coworkers. Like all the New Year's Eve celebrations before, Natalie had had supper at Green Mill with Phil, Lisa, and Rachel to celebrate Lisa's NYE birthday and to ring in the New Year. As the Henriksen family came back to their house, expecting the usual NYE family and friend guests, Connor was there among his coworkers to surprise Phil. Connor and Natalie didn't know it yet, but that night, they had met their future spouse. Their first date a few weeks later was at Bean Town in Fairmont, and they went for ice cream at McDonald's afterwards even though it was January. Connor and Natalie spent time getting to know one another and enjoyed everything from Super Bowl parties at the Andersons, to watching weekly Dancing With the Stars episodes with Lisa, to attending show choir competitions, to Connor riding along when Natalie needed to cover an event, sports, or St. Patrick's Day for the newspaper. This friendship blossomed into a love story with God at the center. Their common interests and vision for their lives came together to form the life of faith, purpose, and variety they share. They love attending church each Sunday at Nazareth Lutheran in Armstrong, where they will be married. Connor proposed to Natalie on Friday, April 19, 2024 in Arnold's Park. The following day, a "birthday party" was hosted at Phil and Lisa's as an early May 10 birthday party for Natalie, but secretly it was an engagement party! Almost nobody had yet known that Connor and Natalie were engaged, and it was so special to capture those sweet surprises on video. From there, the wedding planning began! They booked the venue, Natalie found her wedding dress, and all of the exciting steps started to unfold. One of those exciting steps was buying Connor's grandparents' newly renovated home in October of 2024 and moving Connor in. It is special to them that their church is just kitty-corner to their future home together. Natalie is excited to join living there after the wedding and can't wait to enjoy the home that has rich Anderson family history. Connor and Natalie will be married on Saturday, August 23, 2025 with their loved ones present. They are so excited to celebrate with you and to live out God's plan for their marriage together.
