If you ask us what one of our favorite things to do together is, we would say watching live music. We've been together for a while now, and our love for music has only grown stronger over time. Our first date was at the Black Bear Casino for a concert. We were both excited and nervous at the same time. We had already seen each other a few times before, but this was our first official date. We didn't know what to expect, but we were looking forward to spending time together and enjoying some great music. The concert featured two bands, Hinder and Theory of a Dead Man. We don't remember too much about the concert itself, except that we were both singing along to the music and having a great time. We were so caught up in the moment that we didn't even realize how nervous we had been before the show. During the show, Brad was excited to show Nat off to all his friends. He had talked about her so much that they were all eager to meet Nat. It was a little overwhelming, but she was happy to see how proud and happy he was to be with her. Looking back on that night, we realize how much it meant to us. It was the start of a beautiful relationship, and it all began with our shared love of music. We still attend concerts together whenever we can, and every time we do, we're reminded of that special night at the Black Bear Casino.
During COVID, we couldn't see each other at all. We missed each other terribly and couldn't wait until the quarantine was lifted. As soon as it was safe to do so, we made up for lost time. Brad was one of the few people Nat chose to have attend her graduation ceremony. We had a great time celebrating her achievements together. Starting from August of that year, we started to become inseparable. Now that Nat didn't have school, we were able to see each other all the time. We started spending everyday together, and that year we had our first Halloween party at Nat's place and invited all of our friends. We spent our first Thanksgiving together, and our first Christmas together too. We decorated the house for the holidays together and had a great time. This started our tradition of decorating the house for every holiday and having an annual Halloween party that our friends and family look forward to every year. Every year since then, our love for holidays has grown stronger. We can't wait for each holiday season to arrive so that we can celebrate it together. Despite the pandemic, we were able to create some of the best memories of our lives, and we are grateful for every moment we have spent together.
Brad had been planning a surprise for Nat for months. He knew how much she loved Melanie Martinez, and he wanted to make her dream come true by getting VIP tickets to her concert and planning a mini trip to the city. Nat was over the moon when Brad surprised her with the tickets. After spending a few months preparing for this trip, it was finally time for their trip. We spent the first night of our trip at Melanie's concert, singing and dancing along to all her songs. Nat even got Brad to wear glitter and dress up for her concert. She was extremely happy about this. The second day, we visited the Mall of America, where we explored Sea Life and shopped until we dropped. That evening, Brad took Nat to a fancy restaurant in our hotel, and Nat was convinced that this was the moment Brad would propose. But the night came to an end without a proposal, and Nat went to bed feeling a little disappointed. The next day, we decided to visit Como Park. We spent the morning admiring the animals, and then Brad took Nat into the gift shop. He asked her which ring she would choose if she had to pick one, and Nat chose a beautiful butterfly ring. She didn't think much of it, because Brad had asked her this many times before. While Nat was looking at other things, Brad secretly bought the ring. He then took her to the final garden, by the frog pond. As we stood in front of the exedra, Brad waited for Nat to turn her back. When she turned around, he was on one knee, holding out the butterfly ring. "Natalie Shae Johnson," he said, "I can't let an opportunity like this pass without asking an important question. Will you marry me?" Nat was so surprised and happy that she started crying. She said yes, and a group of college students nearby came over to congratulate them. One of the guys had a Polaroid camera and offered to take their picture. It was a perfect moment that they would never forget.
