Man's Best Man | Illegitimate Child of Bride & Groom
Leonidas Williams Nash is Sarah and Matt's only son, and also Matt's ACTUAL soulmate. He is 50% Great Pyrenees, 40% Lab, 10% Weimaraner, and 100% perfect. After he was found by the humane society wandering through the woods, Leo joined the Legacy Drive crew in 2019. He quickly became the Alpha of the dog pack, the world's best early morning cuddler, a wittle bit anxious, the ultimate walking buddy, and the sweetest boy ever to exist (unless you are those dogs on the other side of our backyard fence--screw you guys!!).
Maeve Williams Nash
Maid of Pawnor | Illegitimate Child of Bride & Groom
Maeve is confused as to why we are doing this, as she thought her Mom and Dad were already married. That being said, she loves a celebration and has never had a bad thought about anyone or anything, so this seems fine to her! She isn’t sure what a wedding party or a Maid of Pawnor does, but she knows it will be fun and she will do a good job.
Jack Hardwick
Officiant
Jack is thought to be Sarah's parents' favorite child, despite them not being related, and is credited for having taught Matt the true Norman way. Matt and Jack initially became friends through their fraternity, with the bond only strengthened through many a night at The Mont (a Norman staple). Sarah had met Jack during his Camp Crimson (orientation camp) staff interview, where Jack proclaimed that the song Renegade by Styx just felt like it was made for him. She snort-laughed and loved him right away. Jack is an expert in: Lawyering, offering a quick joke, being down for a Vegas trip, offering a heartfelt comment, a glow-up from childhood, and identifying and remembering important details about people.
Abby Moser
Wedding Party | Sister of the Bride
Abby is Sarah’s big sister. When Sarah was born, Abby used to fake being sick so she could stay home from school to spend time with Sarah. She has served as Sarah’s oldest sister, second mother, and as a permanent pillar of guidance, support, and love for the last 35 years. Abby is an expert on the following topics: Elementary school education, Oklahoma meteorologist Gary England, endless and unfailing empathy, most random 80s or 90s family movies, Thanksgiving talent shows, Mariah Carey Christmas songs, and recipes for picky eaters.
Amanda Thrift
Wedding Party | Sister-in-Law of the Bride
Amanda has been Sarah's sister-in-law since 2021, which is weird because it feels like she has always been here. Having moved from California to Oklahoma to marry Sarah's brother, Amanda is clearly a saint. She grew up with a big and close family of her own, and then jumped right into ours without missing a beat. Amanda is a "yes" gal, ready to join you and be 100% in. Her support is endless and her love knows no bounds (but it does not boundaries! so healthy). Amanda is an expert in: Sales, A Goofy Movie, cooking, snagging the best flowers early at Trader Joe's, advocating for her friends, bonus mom life, and sending you home with gifts every time you go to her house.
Kate Lindley
Wedding Party | Sister of the Bride
Kate is Sarah’s big sister. When Sarah was born, Kate tried to pretend she didn’t exist to the point where a school counselor got involved. That was fine, though, because then they shared a bedroom for 11 years (which really smoothed things over). Since then, Kate has become one of Sarah’s best friends, greatest confidantes, and sometimes mind reader. She is an expert in the following areas: Elementary school education, spitting directly into your sibling’s mouth while holding them down, endless compassion for others (previous statement not included), pretty much every Disney or Alvin & the Chipmunks show/movie ever, puzzles and board games, the world's most contagious laughing fits, and political science.
Maddy Cook
Wedding Party | Cousin/Sister/Daughter of the Bride
Maddy is Sarah’s cousin, which feels like an understatement (only because it is). While technically a cousin, Maddy has been a combination of Sarah’s baby sister she always wanted, adopted 'daughter' (shoutout to her fellow Theta moms!!!), and built-in best friend for almost 30 years. Being raised an only child, Maddy has always been considered Sarah’s immediate family. She is someone you can truly be yourself with, and is easy to have a conversation with about pretty much anything. Maddy is an expert in the following areas: Labor & Delivery Nursing, terrible TV shows like “Outdaughtered”, Nintendo Switch games like Mario Kart and Mario Party, board games in general, and alllllll the puzzles (which she will likely finish before you).
Madison Nash
Wedding Party | Sister-in-Law of the Groom
While Madison is one of Sarah's closest gals, she is also Matt's sister-in-law! The three met in college when they were placed in the same staff family at Camp Crimson, OU's new student orientation program. Madison had just started dating Matt's brother (Michael Thomas), and Matt and Sarah were just meeting for the first time. So many sparks a-flyin'! To make a long story short, Michael and Madison got married and we all still continue to be one [kind of small] happy family! Madison and Sarah have felt like sisters and introduced each other as such for years now, so there are likely to be some very confused people pretty soon. Madison is the queen of showing up and showing out for what she cares about, whether it is people, causes, or just a great event! She is an expert in: Travel planning and logistics, being your biggest hype girl, marketing & PR, sparkling wine, recommending your new favorite restaurant, and thoughtful gift giving.
Michael Paul Thrift
Wedding Party | Brother of the Bride
Michael Paul, or Michael, or Mike, as some people apparently call him, is Sarah's older brother. If you haven't heard already, our families have no shortage of Michaels. Michael Paul has been begging Matt to marry his sister for over a decade, so we are all pretty thrilled this day has come. The oldest child to Sarah's youngest, MP loved to be the exciting big brother. He would always take Sarah to do new things, like attend her first OU Sooners football game or get her face painted like Jim Carrey in the mask, and she always cherished their time together. As adults, they have also become friends who love tailgating, going to movies, or just hanging out on the patio on a weekend together. Michael Paul is an expert in: All the technology, all the gadgets, politics, lighting shit on fire, theatre dad life, loving hard and telling people you love them, and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Michael Nash
Wedding Party | Brother of the Groom
Michael (Thomas) has known Matt longer than anyone on this list. Some say he has been there since birth, as that is how brotherhood often goes. Michael and Matt were involved in many of the same organizations in both high school and college, while also being roommates for 17+ years. After Michael moved out, he and Sarah became friends their freshman year at OU. Their friendship continued throughout college and into adulthood (Sarah actually first approached Matt because she recognized his name, saying, "Hey! You're Michael's brother!"), and now they even get to do holidays together! Michael is an expert in: Having friends literally everywhere (not just in low places), (speaking of) Garth Brooks, lawyering for the Department of Justice, being the ultimate OU and Thunder fan, and finger-gun dancing.
Mitch Lindley
Wedding Party | Brother-in-Law of the Bride
Mitch has been Sarah's brother-in-law for TWENTY YEARS. The first time they met was at Six Flags Over Texas, which just feels so right in hindsight, and he married Kate a couple of years later. Mitch is one of our favorite conversationalists, one of our first calls in an emergency, and a hell of a late-night whiskey preacher. Mitch is an expert in: All the podcasts, construction, road trips (particularly to the mountains), having a discussion on any topic, trying to play puzzle, and being the most popular guy at the resort pool.
Blake Armstrong

Matt met Blake when Blake was going through fraternity rush (2009), not knowing at the time that Blake was one of Sarah’s oldest and closest friends. This occurred during Matt’s initial attempt to woo Sarah, and the connection felt serendipitous. Sarah and Blake had met on the first day of 6th grade, and she quickly decided this strange boy would be a new brother. Living just a few miles apart growing up, Blake and Sarah essentially joined each other’s families. Many years later, Blake also became one of Matt’s ‘little bros’ in the fraternity. This solidified Matt’s membership in the Armstrong clan as well, and we have all shared countless fun memories since. Blake is an expert in the following areas: Everything fixing and renovating, owning a dance floor, back flips, making instant friends with every person he encounters, #DadLyfe, and running a DJ setlist.
Brittani Isaac

Brittani has been Sarah's best friend for almost 30 years! They met the very first day of first grade when Brittani came in wearing a poofy white dress, which Sarah thought was disgusting. The rest, as they say, is history. Brittani and Sarah were so inseparable growing up, it was hard (even for their parents) to remember they weren't actually sisters. Now on separate continents, they get to share the excitement of their lives from far away on long phone calls, and cherish their rare in-person time together even more. Brittani is an expert in: Australia, organizational dynamics, worldwide travel, gymnastics, adventure and exploring, and literally every lyric from the movie Aladdin.
Caitlin Nguyen
Wedding Party
Caitlin and Sarah used to be work wives, and have been able to maintain a steady relationship despite now working at separate companies. Caitlin often serves as the voice of patience, calm, and rationality in the face of Sarah’s… not always that. Every woman with her in their corner is the luckiest, and Sarah and Caitlin regularly refer to themselves as each other's "Leslie" and "Ann" (what up, Parks & Rec fans). Caitlin is an expert in the following areas: Enablement and adoption, musicals, navigating everywhere confidently (regardless of actual accuracy), travel, the crucial trio that is The Office, Parks & Rec, and New Girl, Salesforce, cat obsession, and public speaking.
Chloe Ferguson

Chloe is another pal who started out working for Matt and who became framily. You may also recognize a tinier version of her in our party, Goldie (flower girl). Chloe has taught us both what it is to be a true Norman, Oklahoma citizen, and the Ferguson family have brought us in and treated us like family. To have this crew in our orbit is the greatest gift, and Chloe particularly is an expert in the following areas: Relationship Cultivation, most of the Disney Princesses, Filming & Videography, Oklahoma sports (but particularly softball and gymnastics), Being everyone’s biggest cheerleader, Curating special moments and memories, and how to be doing it all and still look like you brushed your hair.
Ganga Moorthy
Wedding Party
Ganga was one of Matt’s first college friends, and is one of the leading reasons why he survived his sophomore year. A close bond was formed, fueled by intense fandom for the Lakers, curmudgeonly humor, and Matt’s eventual chance to return the life-saving favor a couple of years later (queue: Sugers; not a typo--'tis how you spell the name of the joint). Sarah’s not-quite-as-curmudgeonly humor also appealed to Ganga, and they became fast friends. Our ability to talk and laugh for hours and hours (yes, even Matt) with Ganga has created some of our most cherished memories over the years. She is a pal who never ceases to remember a milestone, offer a thoughtful perspective, and tirelessly work to make our world better and healthier. Ganga is proud to tout herself as Tonks’s biggest fan (her proof submitted in photo above), and is also an expert in: Pediatrics, Infectious Disease (she’s a doctor, not a weirdo), Taylor Swift (especially the All Too Well short film), all the plants, looking at any photo of any celebrity and identifying them incorrectly, world travel, and nailing the old-lady-chic lifestyle.
Michael Giesecke
Wedding Party
Michael Giesecke, or Giesecke (“Geese key”) as we call him, started as Matt’s boss, then was upgraded whether he wanted it or not. Giesecke is now one of Matt’s close friends and is what Sarah refers to as her “friend soulmate”, so he is unlikely to escape our grasp. Having shared many a game night, vacation, G&T (okay, not Matt on that one), and elevated conversation with us, he is a key ingredient for a great time. Giesecke is an expert in the following areas: Being the world’s best gift giver, all things Tolkien, event planning, being a founding member of the BlackBird Club, bonkers cocktail recipes, streamlining processes and maximizing efficiency in workflow, the most hilarious and/or cringey moments in every Christmas film, and every trivia topic and question ever asked.
Morgan Brammer
Wedding Party
Morgan and Sarah met freshman year of college. They didn’t like… hang out or whatever at that point, but just so you have the context. Their friendship blossomed more so during the end of junior year/throughout senior year of college, and then truly flourished in adulthood. Morgan is a perfect example of a friend who is always in your corner, whom you can rely on, and who will fiercely protect and love you. Equally important: she and Matt regularly bond over their shared vacation eating schedules and requirements. Morgan is an expert in the following areas: Higher education access and equality, hating everything Pumpkin Spice scented and flavored, raising magazine catalog qualified children, believing in and investing in women, and the 3 Body Problem, Outer Banks, and most other Netflix original shows.
Ray Wolber
Wedding Party
Ray and Matt first became friends when Ray came to OU. That college friendship only deepened after graduation, through days on the golf course, OU football tailgates, and countless watch parties. Sarah initially became friends with Ray through his older sister Morgan (you know, the one in the wedding party), and they have developed a strong relationship through long life chats, bizarre "what if" discussions, and being one another's sounding bars for new ideas and considerations. Ray is an expert in: Entrepreneurship, providing truly LIFE GIVING hugs, smoking and grilling meats, DIY projects and home updates, bringing people together, finding your next YouTube watch, and being able to strike up a meaningful conversation with anyone and everyone.
Sam Kiehl
Wedding Party
Matt first met Sam in 2009 when he was a wee freshman, excited to bulk up using P90X. As this was also during the time where Matt was hoping to woo Sarah, Sam took them both to a couple of trips to the cafeteria on his meal plan to assist Matt’s initiative. The plan worked, and Sarah quickly fell in love with Sam. Through their fraternity, campus involvement and NCAA dynasty leagues, Matt and Sam became close friends during the college years. After spending a year as roommates, Matt was also lucky enough to work with Sam for a year in student programming before the now-buff Sam became big time and went off to lawyer school. He makes you feel like the most important person in the room and gives world-class hugs. Sam is an expert in: fake tripping, law things, being the second kindest and most precious human in existence, marrying the first kindest and most precious human in existence (love you, Robin), committing 100% to "the bit", and rocking that new dad vibe.
Sehrish Shahabuddin

Sehrish originally entered our orbit as one of Matt’s Union Programming Board (UPB) students, who turned out to be a real delight and talented as hell. She later worked for Matt as UPB Coordinator. This gave Sarah an opportunity to get to know her, become obsessed with her, and she has since turned Sehrish into one of her best friends. Sehrish and her fiance, Patrick (another former UPBer), are key ingredients to some of Matt and Sarah’s most fun and latest evenings. Sehrish is an expert in the following areas: Event planning, very popular youth references (like Brat culture), somehow managing to always show up for each of your friends who live in 900 different places, all the current events and topics, and the best at-home migas recipes. You'll also spot Sehrish's company, Common Ground Events, running the show on the day of our wedding.
Tanner Tiedeman
Wedding Party
Tanner and Matt first became friends in college, where they were fraternity brothers a couple of years apart. Sarah also became friends with Tanner during this time, throughout which he always addressed her by both her first and middle names ("Sarah Susanne"). Our trio's friendship really blossomed in adulthood, particularly through our exclusive membership as founding members (with Michael Giesecke) of the BlackBird Club. Tanner is easily one of the most kind, thoughtful, and 100% genuine people we know. Dr. TT, as he is best known, is an expert in the following areas: slingin' pills (he is a pharmacist), either killing it or falling asleep at game night, producing witty comments that get the coveted laugh from Matt, endlessly showing up and showing out for those he loves (next comment not included), pointing out why Sarah’s jokes aren’t worthy of Matt’s coveted laugh, and being the most enjoyable hangout buddy always.
Goldie Ferguson
Flower Girl
Goldie Ferguson is one of our precious flower girlies! You may have guessed when you saw her mom, Chloe, referenced above, but the Fergs are pretty foundational to our lives in Norman. This gal is 3 going on 30, and will keep you laughing for hours. We absolutely adore she and her little sister, Hampton!
Luna Brammer
Flower Girl
We consider ourselves honorary Wolber/Brammer siblings, as likely noticed by both of them being in our wedding party. As a result, one of our all-time favorite kiddos and flower girls is Luna Brammer! Luna is the witty, mature, catalog model-looking daughter of Morgan (referenced above) and Ben Brammer (WE LOVE YOU, BENNY). Also adored by members of our household is Luna's little sister, Noa.
Courtlyn Shoate
In Loving Memory
Courtlyn should be in the Wedding Party, but is unfortunately no longer with us. He was a great mentor and friend to Matt throughout college and his early career, their friendship growing stronger over the years. While friends in college, Sarah and Courtlyn grew especially close during their graduate program. He was our friend with the best and most thoughtful insights, who always gave it to us "like it was". A friend who made a point to show up, a true confidante, and the absolute best person to drop it low with--all of those things were Court. He held us all to a high standard, and only because he held himself to the highest. If he were here, he would probably say, "It's about f@)!ing time!" (For a few years, Courtlyn verbally censored his curse words, which was so bizarre and also our absolute favorite thing.) He was the best of all of us, and he would have owned the dance floor at this bash.
Nala Williams Nash
Official Representative: Nashes to Ashes
Nala was our second pup and was also our oldest child from 2012-2021. She loved eating all of the treats, getting belly rubs, and being left the hell alone. Before leaving us for the big Raising Cane's in the sky, Nala ruled the roost. Her snoring while both asleep and awake gave us constant assurance that she was present. These days, Nala spends her time as ashes in a box on Sarah's bedside table.
Tonks Williams Nash
Official Representative: Nashes to Ashes
Tonks was Matt and Sarah’s first child, and lived (2012-2025) her best life as the tiniest, bossiest, and most food-driven K-9. Her miniscule 23 pounds did not hold her back from thinking she ran things, especially with her internal clock of an olden day farmer when it came to meal times. She was beauty, she was grace, and if you pissed her off she might bite your face (only if you were Leo or Maeve). These days, Tonks is reunited with her best pal, Nala, and spends her time as ashes in a box on Sarah's bedside table.
