Hardley Strictly Bluegrass Festival
Free Bluegrass festival happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Golden Gate Park - an awesome opportunity to see the park, picnic, and listen to bluegrass music!
Tennessee Valley Trailhead
Sam proposed on a hike on the Tennessee Valley trail. This is a great starting point for a few beautiful hikes along the ridge with an awesome view of the ocean and the city, with varying levels of intensity.
Presidio of San Francisco
Sam and I live a 5 minute walk from the Presidio, which is a park with miles of trails and scenic overlooks. We recommend exploring this area at Chrissy Beach / Field for a view of the Golden Gate Bridge
Hamel Family Wines
If you have time, we highly recommend taking a trip up to Sonoma or Napa. This is one of our favorite Vineyards in Sonoma, and where we celebrated the day after our engagement! If you make a stop here, we recommend exploring the Sonoma Square that has cute shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants. Elizabeth Spencer Winery
If you end up deciding to go to Napa (instead of Sonoma), we recommend checking out Elizabeth Spencer. Sam has been a member of this vinyard for 7 ( ! ) years, so you know its good! Alcatraz Island
Take the Ferry from Fisherman's Wharf to Alcatraz Island and get the audio tour, which is narrated by ex-inmates and guards - it's fascinating!
Crissy Field
A personal favorite - amazing views of Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the rest of the Bay. Soak up some sun and bring a picnic, and maybe even take a chilly dip in the Pacific!
Rodeo Beach
Just over the Golden Gate Bridge - this is a beautiful beach with access to awesome trails!
The Buena Vista
Take the Cable Car to Buena Vista to experience the original Irish coffee. Warning: it is potent
