WE ARE SO EXCITED TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU!

My first visit to Virginia Tech! I was visiting a friend - it was her first weekend of college - and she introduced me to Josh before the two of them showed me around campus. I wasn't going to apply to VT before this, but their campus tour sold me... and who knows what would have happened if I didn't.

For our first date, we packed up some lunches, drove out to Roanoke and went to the Transportation Museum! After the museum, we stopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway to eat our lunches with a view :)

Josh and I like to take trips for our anniversary, Valentine's day and my birthday since they fall really close to one another. This year we decided to go to Charlottesville for a weekend getaway. We went on a little hike to start off our morning and in the middle of the hike, Josh revealed a pretty sizable whale that he had been keeping in his backpack. I was confused but of course I didn't think anything of it. He dodged all my questions and followed the presentation of the whale with "I got you another gift too..." and pulled out the ring box and got down on one knee. I was completely surprised (yes, I carried the whale for the rest of the hike and got some pretty interesting looks). We spent the rest of the day at vineyards and breweries, soaking up what we didn't know would be our last moments in public spaces...we are so thankful we got to have our special weekend :)
