Having met at USC through similar circles throughout the years, we were friendly and shared many college experiences - later realizing that Danielle was at Sam’s 21st birthday party! It wasn’t until we graduated that Sam slid into Danielle’s DMs and kicked up a conversation. Not long after, we got together with mutual friends at The Bungalow, of all places! We sat and talked for hours as if no one else was there. With popularity of the Impossible Burger rising, Sam wanted to take Danielle to get (supposedly) the best one in town. Our first date took us to Umami Burger, where everything continued to feel so natural. We came to learn that we shared a love for family, adventure, food, country music and just being together. By the end of our first week hanging out, Danielle had texted her closest friends she met “the one”.

On April 9th, after four years of love, exploration, and growth, Sam got down on one knee and asked Danielle to marry him on the Palisades Bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was the easiest yes for Danielle, the end to months of secretive planning for Sam, and a moment we both knew was coming from the start. Our families were in on it all and waiting close by, so after we had our special moment alone, we went down to the beach and were greeted to a perfect sunset picnic, complete with all of our favorite Erewhon foods. A perfect evening!
