Hannah had started coaching volleyball at her alma mater, Poudre High School, with her friend Kelsey. They had gone to high school together but later reconnected after college. Kelsey was determined to set Hannah up with a handsome guy, and so she got to work. After a couple failed attempts with some weirdo guys, Kelsey convinced Hannah to join her at a Talking Heads tribute band concert, and little did she know, Kelsey had also invited Ryan, her old friend from middle school. The rest of that night, Hannah and Ryan had a hard time holding a conversation, needless to say there wasn't that "spark". A couple weeks later, Kelsey convinced Hannah to meet with Ryan and his friends again for dinner, and finally Ryan got Hannah's number. The next weekend Ryan invited Hannah to meet him and his friends in Old Town for his birthday. Hannah reluctantly accepted but this night was different. Ryan made Hannah laugh all night (including doing yoga moves in the middle of Old Chicago during dinner) and by the end of the night, he went in for the first kiss. From that day, they were pretty much inseparable! Lets just say, Ryan knows how to be persistent, and Hannah is stubborn!
In 2015 Ryan came home from work (a job requiring a long commute) and had decided that day that he would be applying for law schools. Hannah had been applying for PT schools over the past couple of years with no luck, but she didnt want to discourage Ryan so she let him dream... Well, turns out Ryan is super smart and a dedicated student, and after taking the LSAT one time, was accepted to the law school at the University of Denver. So we packed up and Ryan purchased our first condo together and we settled into the big city. Hannah pondered what career path to take next and decided to look into nursing. She got her first job as a CNA in Denver and fell in love with taking care of others! She applied to one nursing school and was accepted... it seemed like fate! After 3 years of law school and 18 months of nursing school Hannah and Ryan graduated at the same time in May 2018. Hannah got a job as an OB/nursery RN in Greeley and Ryan took a position in a law firm in Fort Collins. So back to northern CO we went...
After six years of dating and finally graduating from school, there was a lot of anticipation to continue our lives together and get married! Hannah had been bugging Ryan about a proposal for too long, and he finally gave in! Hannah had a feeling Ryan had gotten a ring but wasn't totally convinced it would happen soon. Hannah's friend Sierra was starting a photography business and asked if she could take a few couples photos of us to build her portfolio. Little did Hannah know, Ryan had also reached out to Sierra to set up the engagement photo-op, and he had met with Sandy and Brian to ask for their blessing. The day finally came, Sierra took many pictures, and finally at the end of the shoot, Ryan got down on one knee and popped the question. Hannah was totally shocked and beyond excited!! She said yes of course, cried a little, and jumped up and down a lot. Ryan had ordered the ring from Hannah's uncle Reese which made it extra special! Later that day, Hannah's Grandma Yost told her that was also the anniversary of the date when she married her Grandpa and it all came full circle... We are beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
