How They Met

Once everything opened back up from quarantine Alison went straight back to work at the bar she was working in- Flying Saucer. Brandon, in true bachelor fashion, would either go broke eating out or starve to death. He always ate out for every meal and lived right next to Flying Saucer. Therefore, he’d stop in and get a burger and a beer on a regular basis. Somehow, Alison was always there and waited on him whenever he came in. The first time they met, Brandon was with his father and step mother; it was the first time any of them had been since before quarantine started and they were so excited to just be out. Alison was one of the few employees that returned to work that day. As she went to greet her first table of the day she got their drink order and they were EXCITED to order. Brandon ordered a Saucer burger, medium well, add pepper jack cheese, pesto mayo, and no tomato. Brandon’s father chimed in,” yeah no tomato he is highly allergic”. The food comes out after a while and guess what the burger has on it? You guessed it.. TOMATOES! Alison tried to take the burger back to fix his order but Brandon refused. After that day, every time Brandon sat with Alison she made sure absolutely no tomatoes touched his food. She didn’t want to kill her future husband, whether he knew he was or not. One particular summer evening, Brandon came in with his long time friend Gabe. They sat outside drinking and talking for a while before they ordered so Alison had plenty of time to talk to both of them and flirt a little. Brandon was clueless to the flirting until Gabe so kindly pointed it out. Once they were ready to order Alison had Brandon’s order memorized. She said “no tomatoes because we’re allergic right?” To which Gabe said, “hold up!! This fool told you he was allergic to tomatoes?! He ain’t allergic! He just hates them!” Alison, completely offended questions how Brandon could start their relationship off with a lie like this (sarcasm). Brandon embarrassingly asks what he can do for forgiveness. All she wanted was her phone number..He gives Alison his phone number and says, “I’ll wait for you to make the first move, don’t feel pressured.” To which Alison made him wait 2 weeks for any sort of contact and they have been together ever since. To this day, Brandon is thankful his father lied to Alison about a tomato allergy and swears it’s the only reason they ended up together. Alison always says she disagrees whenever anyone asks, but deep down she knows there may be a little truth to this.

The Big Day

While we have had so many wedding day ideas float around, some more grand than others- We have finally decided to keep our wedding day just the two of us. We have agreed that all either of us want is to be married and have photos to look back on. We plan on eloping on April 25 at the courthouse with our favorite and most talented photographer to document the day (seriously, Sam Sikes is amazing and we wouldn’t want anyone else doing it). While we appreciate everyone who wants to be a part of our day, we wish to spend it just the two of us. You can always still look at our registry or send well wishes on the big day! We love our families so much and don’t want them to think otherwise. However, planning a giant wedding felt more of a chore that we kept putting off while this is exciting for the both of us and we cannot wait for April! We appreciate everyone who has even taken the time to read this and we cannot wait to share our journey with you!
