Question

December 10, 2017

Answer

The journey began at a packed apartment party in Queens, NY on the brisk winter night of December 10, 2017. In her thrifted Vera Wang blue jeans, Laura made her way a few blocks over to a Christmas party of one of her high school best friends. Mike arrived to the party all the way from Jersey City as a wingman for one of his buddy's, the 3 walked in wearing beanies, the tall one catching Laura's eye from across the room. Laura made mention to her friends who immediately took to joking, bantering and plotting a pick up strategy, as well as building up some liquid courage. As the night progressed, the group embarked on a quest through the NYC snow, to a local bar where the drinks continued to flow. Mike began to show off his dance moves, to include the not so charming "dab” when his buddy interrupted his grooves, “there’s a girl here and she’s super into you, the one in the blue jeans” Mike looked, took a breath, and nervously made his move. As he approached, he was instantly met with relief as Laura did all of the tough ice breaking for him. “Can I get you a Heineken?" she asked. Now, if there’s one beer that Mike hates, it’s Heineken, but he wasn’t going to let that stop him from getting to know this incredible girl. “I’d love one, but the next one is on me” Mike happily stated. (Laura remembers this to be a Stella, but they will agree to disagree) As the night went on, the two embarrassingly danced, laughed, bought each other more Heinekens (or Stellas) and there were heated discussions over which fast food chain was the best (Mike won that debate, again they'll agree to disagree). They quickly found a spark that was unlike anything they both ever experienced. Laura's friend left her that night with wise advice "he can't be trusted until he takes off the beanie, you have to know what's under the hat." Whatever that meant - there was a reason they were both there that night and that was soon to be found out.

Question

The rest was history...

Answer

Around date number four, Mike finally took off the beanie, he began to be trusted and the two continued to build memories and a future together. Fast forward 8 years, L&M enjoy their days in Brooklyn, NY with their tiny leopard cat, Jett. They continue to discover all that NYC has to offer and too frequently get nachos and frozen margaritas at their favorite local spot, Abilene. L&M share a beautiful life full of making memories, supporting each other through highs and lows and continuing to shape their bond with one another. Mike probably annoys Laura a little too much nowadays, but they are a team point blank and will always have each other's back. --------------- As we sit here together to reminisce and tell this story, we can’t help but feel so incredibly lucky that the universe crossed our paths so many moons ago and we are so excited to celebrate making "forever" official with all of you! The countdown begins!
