If you want to check out other accommodations beyond Hoffman Haus, Fredericksburg has a number of hotels and AirBNBs available. It’s a small town and very easy to get around. There is plenty of parking at Hoffman Haus for day only guests.

Car Rental - Getting Around Town
Renting a car to get to/from the airport is a good option but Uber is available in Austin, San Antonio and Fredericksburg. Downtown Fredericksburg is a short walk from Hoffman Haus and Main Street has a number of places to explore - shopping, dining and good coffee. There are also wineries with Main Street locations. Fredericksburg wine country starts right outside of the town and most wineries are located off 290 which turns into Main Street. There are a number of wine tour companies that offer car/limo/bus services to do wine tastings (a great idea if you plan to visit more than 1-2). Uber is also a ride service option. Signor Vineyards, where we are having a gathering Saturday afternoon, is around a 15 minute drive from Hoffman Haus.
