We're Getting Married

Zachary and Heather grew up in the church at Holy Trinity Lutheran. Over the years they went from acquaintances to best friends Zachary was a constant source of safety and true friendship for Heather. When Heather had her daughter, Hazel she asked him if he would be willing to be a Godparent. Zachary happily accepted and he also took on a special role in her daughter's life. Through the ups and downs love never left. The feelings dormant in their hearts came to life, even when life had carried on. Zachary & Heather reacquainted at the Sounders opening Match on February 22nd 2025, he called out Heather's name. It was then, when things were about to change. After conversation on the concourse, they both realized how much both of them meant to each other but in a stronger sense. Their "First Date" was the following Thursday February 27th. Throughout the night they were inseparable, with the same glow and butterflies from so long ago. On the way to dinner, Heather, “not so slyly”set up a reminiscent playlist to which Zachary quickly caught onto. A mix of Taylor Swift all the way to Blink 182. The two of them were choral students and would often sing together and share music throughout the years. The songs that were shared, brought back all the feelings and emotions throughout those pivotal moments for those kids, so many years ago. After the date , they realized the love they shared, and as each other's first experience of boyfriend & girlfriend were coming true. They then decided to spend their lives together as husband and wife. Heather remembers telling Zachary that she would marry him someday. Zachary remembers sharing how Heather was his dream girl and, if it was anyone in life, it would be her. It is beautiful, that throughout the years and transitions, God had a bigger plan for the two of them. Often times we don’t always understand the why now, but it is always worth it.
