God created you and He loves you. He is good, righteous, and just. His perfect world has been broken by sin. The consequence of sin is death, but God couldn't let the story end there. He had a plan to make us new and to restore us back to life even though we were dead in our sins. He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for the sin that keeps us from being in a relationship with Him. Jesus was crucified on a cross in your place, giving you a clean slate. He rose from the dead three days later, defeating sin's penalty, death, for good. Jesus is alive, and so is our hope. By turning from your sin and trusting in Jesus, God is faithful to forgive you. Your sins are charged to Jesus on the cross, and His righteousness is credited to you when you believe. Jesus paid the penalty for you, giving you victory over sin and death. In Christ, you stand before God loved and whole. You are not too far gone. You are more than your worst mistake. You matter because you matter to Jesus Christ.
