Morgan was in Pismo Beach on a family vacation when she received a phone call from a friend asking her to attend a prom with a complete stranger. Morgan was leery, but she said yes! Shortly after her phone call, Morgan received a message on Instagram from Tyler Smith. The messages started with “Hey, I think you’re cute” The rest is history! Blind Prom dates will forever be the answer.

3 months after Tyler and Morgan met, Tyler attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. Morgan finished her senior year at Valley Christian High School & Tyler transferred back home to California. Morgan committed to Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona & the following summer left for college. Tyler came home to finish his schooling online at Arizona State University & found work. Their relationship was long distance from 2018 till 2022. Morgan graduated from GCU in May of 2022 & Tyler graduated from ASU in April of 2023. Though it was challenging, it is what has made their story their own. The Lord has had his hand in every part of their journey & they are thrilled to share their story with you! “So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Matthew 19:6

The night of the proposal, Tyler had a romantic night planned for him & Morgan. They headed down to Seal Beach and to Morgans surprise, her families favorite restaurant; Captain Jacks. They enjoyed a delicious meal and then headed towards the beach for a romantic walk. As they walked closer towards the water, Morgan spots in the distance a huge heart shaped white floral arrangement on the edge of the water. Instantly Morgan knew ... Once they arrived to the arrangement, not only did Tyler have a videographer, photographer, and RING, but the sweetest part was that he made sure God was at the center of it. After laughs, tears, and smiles of joy, Morgan said YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. We are grateful for each of you. See you in Downtown LA!
