What should I wear?
Answer
We recommend cocktail attire. Weather permitting, we will be holding our ceremony outdoors on the Black Bass' Flagstone Patio, so please be conscious of the changing Spring temperatures and the fact that we will be right on the Delaware River - it can get breezy, so we recommend a light jacket or sweater. There will be space for mingling, dancing and drinking on the River Deck, which will be tented in the event of inclement weather.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm, so we recommend arriving no later than 4:15pm. Our ceremony and reception take place on the same property and there is valet parking available.

Can I bring my kids or "plus one"?
Answer
Due to space limitations and the intimate nature of the venue, we have had to make some difficult decisions regarding our guest list, which includes making this an adults-only event. Please let us know if you would like recommendations for local babysitters or childcare options. Due to space limitations, the number of seats we have reserved for you will be limited to the named guests on your Save the Date card / invitations.

What type of food and drink will be served during the Cocktail Hour & Reception?
Answer
Ahh, the most important question! The Black Bass Hotel has incredible food and we will be offering an open bar (yay!) which will include top shelf liquors, beer, wine and signature drinks chosen by Yours Truly. There will be plenty of passed and stationed hors d'oeuvres and four entree choices, which can be picked during the RSVP, either via mail or online (Grilled Filet Mignon, Roasted Whole Chicken Breast, Charleston Meeting Street Crab, or Spinach Ricotta Ravioli). Please feel free to reach out to us personally with details regarding dietary restrictions and allergies - we will work with our venue to accommodate you! We will enjoy cake, coffee and tea as well.

I need to stay the night - where should I stay?
Answer
As a historic venue, the Black Bass Hotel has a very limited number of rooms available. As such, all nine rooms at our venue have been personally assigned by the Bride and Groom to our wedding party and immediate family. Unless you have already been informed otherwise, please plan to book lodging at one of the recommended hotels we've listed under our "Where to Stay" tab, or another hotel of your choice.
