Batten and I first met in Knowles Island at our best friends house, Anna Priester, who lives a few doors down from my parents. We crossed paths at social events for a few months until Batten asked me on our first date while swimming in the pond at Bostick. We went on our first date on June 6th 2019 and I tried to convince him to take me to Estill Mexican but he insisted on going to a restaurant in Hilton Head. We then rode dirt roads through Furman and that was more our speed. Two weeks went by and we both said I love you on the roof of the plantation house, where we are set to marry, while looking at our lucky stars.
