Aaron and I met back in 6th grade and were distant friends during our middle school and early high school years. When we were sophomores in high school, I took him to a dance and developed a crush that was not quite reciprocated at the time. Our great group of friends in the final years of high school kept us close, but not quite together. Then, we both moved down to Austin for college and our "LH squad" stuck close together during those beginning months in a new place. Aaron became my "go-to" guy for all relationship questions and I was his in return. At the end of our sophomore year, he surprised me and asked me out on a date in the stairwell of our gross apartment building and I was very confused but also weirdly excited about spending one on one time with him. Our first date felt so comfortable and our close friendship slowly transformed into something deeper. We have been together since! God has used Aaron to mold and shape me in ways that are hard to describe. He has made me a better me. We have seen Jesus so clearly at work in both of our hearts over the past two and a half years and we are giddy about this next step. We cannot wait to celebrate what He has done through Jesus and what that means for us in marriage!
