"Do you want to have a rap battle?" Yes, a rap battle! That was the very first thing I said to my future wife the night we met. It was a warm September eve at a mutual friend’s birthday party where a small town gal from Iowa set this Texas girl's heart on fire. You probably want to know if Morgan "rap battled" with me or not. She most definitely did not! Fast-forward to late November, and we finally go on our first date. We shared an orbital first smooch, and the rest is history!

July 4th, 2019 in Bergen, Norway - A dream came true that day! Morgan said "YES" as I got on one knee and asked her to spend forever with me. We were on the tail-end of a magical vacation in Norway with Morgan's parents and her two sisters (who all knew this proposal was happening). It was a day filled with laughter, tears, champagne and a whole lot of LOVE! November 18th, 2019 in Vanderpool, TX - Yet another dream come true. Morgan knows that one of my favorite activities of all time is to hike around with the pups. She drove all of us out to a beautiful park named Lost Maples, tucked away in the iconic Texas Hill Country. This park is famous for its scenic hikes, blue water and fall foliage. Competitive as we are, we were having a friendly rock skipping contest. As I sifted around to find the perfect rock to win this battle royale, Morgan says aloud, "Hey, how about this rock?" Smooth ol' Egli slid that gorgeous ring onto my finger, and I said, "Hell yes!"
