Once upon a time a classy East Coast lady made the decision to come to the Midwest and experience what we like to call "culture." While celebrating Independence Day we started a bond that we didn't know would unite us for life. From our annual drunk kickball classic to showing her some of the finer things in life such as Kinnick stadium (Go HAWKS!) and the Sag Wagon (our first date) this love started out with a farm strong foundation. After that first weekend in Iowa, Chelsea stole my heart away by taking me to a place I thought was a myth called "Beer Can Island" in Florida surrounded by a drift wood hut and dolphins in the gulf (as if Nicholas Sparks himself wrote it). It was there that we confessed our love to each other for the first time. After a year of visiting each other long distance, Chels uprooted to Iowa for her "internship" (as she fondly calls it) that took a polar vortex to end. We have since relocated full time to sunny Florida- to be greeted by Hurricane Dorian. Our journey hasn't always been filled with Spark's cliffs notes but has had some Stephen King moments to them as well as we ventured into the land of firsts. Thankfully I already knew I had my soulmate with me and while we leaned on each other we found our biggest strength was laughter, and oh boy have we laughed!
