The Fisherman's Daughter at Dockside Fish Market
This would be a quick and easy spot for dinner on Friday night or Saturday lunch. You can either order this to-go and eat Lakeside or sit on the patio or inside. The line here can be long but it is so worth it! They serve chicken strips and fries, fish and chips and fish tacos. You can't go wrong!
Gun Flint Tavern
This would be a great spot for dinner on Friday night for those who are in town. It is usually busy on weekends so it may be a good idea to put your name in and go walk around town or get a drink while waiting. We have enjoyed plenty of great meals and drinks here over the years! There is also a rooftop bar that plays live music called the Raven's Nest.
Angry Trout Cafe
This would be another good spot for dinner Friday night. They have a variety of great dishes with fresh caught fish of the day right from Lake Superior! This is a sit-down restaurant and it's a good idea to put your name in earlier and enjoy town while you're waiting!
Sven & Ole's
Sven and Ole's is a Grand Marais classic with a wide range of pizza options. This would be a good spot for a casual lunch or dinner. Can't go wrong!
Voyageur Brewing Company
Voyageur's has a great selection of beer and a few food options, such as appetizers, pizzas and tacos. The rooftop bar has beer only and is a great spot to watch the sunset and Grand Marais pass by!
World's Best Donuts
The name says it all! A professional tip: order donuts the night before and pick up so you don't need to wait in line!
Crosby Bakery
Crosby Bakery opened last summer in Grand Marais and has many coffee, tea and baked good options. Centrally located and a favorite spot for croissants, muffins, cookies, caramel rolls, etc.
Superior Creamery
The BEST ice cream place! If they have Snickerdoodle ice cream, prepare for your life to be changed!
Java Moose Espresso Cafe
Java Moose is a great coffee shop in town that would be a great spot for a morning pick-me-up! They have breakfast sandwiches, pastries and a few lunch options as well.
Artist's Point
Artist's Point is a fun spot right in town where you can explore the shores of Lake Superior and Grand Marais harbor. No car needed to visit this spot!
Pincushion Mountain
This is a great place for a hike or just taking in the great views of Grand Marais! It is just up the hill from downtown Grand Marais.
Lutsen Resort
Lutsen has many great food options, a golf course, gondola rides, hiking trails, and a lot more! It is about 20 miles south of Grand Marais.
