We got married!

We got married! And it was amazing! But we missed a lot of you and we certainly missed all the kiddos, so this June we're headed to Chapin SC for a lake weekend. We'll have some drinks and some apps but we'll do this potluck style if you don't mind bringing a dish. We will have some games and swimming for the kids and all enjoy some time in the sun together. Folks, Here’s some information to share with your friends and family who are considering traveling to Lake Murray for the June 6th event. In addition to AirBNB and VRBO rentals in the Chapin area, there are hotels not too far from my house, but unfortunately none in Chapin itself. As to Lake Murray house rentals, do keep in mind that I am on the Chapin side of the lake, not the Lexington side. Lexington will be quite a drive to my house. Also do not consider Gilbert or Batesburg-Leesville options. If you see Airbnb listings for Little Mountain, that is very close to Chapin and a quick drive (10 minutes). Prosperity, SC is a little past Little Mountain before Newberry. Below are links to hotels in Newberry, SC and in Irmo, SC. Newberry is only about a 22 mile drive to my house, and if you are driving to TN you actually arrive to Newberry before Chapin. Irmo is a little further along past Chapin on I-26 eastbound, and involves more traffic. Newberry is a quaint town with a cute little town square. They have a historic opera house where many events are held, and as a result of those visitors have some cute restaurants and gift shops.
