D.J. lived next door to John freshman year at BC and quickly became good friends, bonding over a shared love of sports. D.J. and John became direct roommates sophomore year, with John regularly beating D.J. in their Friday afternoon video game college football matchups (Tim Tebow's spin and throw is untouchable). The two of them dressed as Reggie's Veggies at every home basketball game junior and senior year in support of their favorite player, Reggie Jackson. D.J. and his wife, Holly, now reside in the SF Bay Area with their two children, Finn and Mackenzie.
Brennan Harkin

Brennan and John met at the start of sophomore year when Brennan transferred from BU (what a good decision that was!) and were placed across the hall from each other in the dorm. Brennan and John very quickly became good friends and have spent the last 15 years continuing to build that friendship, including many weekend trips to the beach in Plymouth, a trip to watch BC football in Dublin, and many adventures locally around the Boston area. Brennan and John once faced off against each other at the Scooper Bowl, each eating over 30 scoops of ice cream, as seen in the picture above. Brennan currently resides in nearby Cambridge.
Sean Getchell
Groomsman
Sean also lived next door to John freshman year at BC and quickly became good friends. Sean is an international man of mystery, living all over the globe with his family during his early years, including going to high school in Moscow (go Penguins!). Sean is a huge fan of all things cinema and is our resident movie expert at bar trivia, although John's and Sean's movie preferences diverge quite widely (John still doesn't understand why people like The Big Lebowski). Sean and his wife, Van, currently reside nearby in Dorchester.
Jack Wimberley

Jack and John met freshman year at BC living across the hall from each other. Jack's passion for math and physics, as well as Guitar Hero, was readily apparent from the start. Jack and John were suitemates for the remainder of their time at BC, with many hilarious memories made in those years (JWE). After college, Jack relocated to the Washington DC area where he met his wife, Jen, while he was completing his PhD at the University of Maryland. Jack and Jen are now back in the Boston area, living next door to John and Ella in nearby Melrose.
Alyssa Francis
Matron of Honor
Alyssa and Ella were randomly assigned as roommates freshman year at UNH. Both thought UNH housing had made a mistake in setting the two of them up, and both of them ended up being wrong when a friendship and inseparable bond grew between them in that forced triple. Many trips, jobs, cities, life-events, apartments, pandemic coffee/wine walks, and a decade later, their bond is stronger than ever and "Ella's Alyssa" is still close by, just a quick 10-minute drive down the road. Alyssa, her husband, Damien, their son, Orion, and their dog, Eva, live in Malden, MA.
Laurie Pitts

Laurie is Ella's soup snake. Laurie and Ella were both Medical Lab Science majors at UNH, and much like a micro plate, it took a while for their friendship to bloom. Laurie moved in with Ella and her suite for junior year, and the rest is laugh-till-you-cry history. Laurie and Ella have travelled all around the world together from one misadventure to the next, including Ella getting trapped in a bathroom in Budapest, and the two of them crashing into a tree on the day this photo was taken. Laurie, her fiancé, Eric, and their two dogs, Casco and Penny, live in Scarborough, ME.
Anna Dorman

Anna and Ella became friends through Sarah Kuhn and Drama Club in high school, and fortified their friendship surviving AP Bio. They have stayed friends through the years due to a shared passion for good food, great books, and Democratic politics. Anna has been Ella's "family lawyer" long before entering law school, always there to give sound advice, smack some sense into her, and force her to work out or chill out - whichever the situation has called for. Anna, her boyfriend, Nico, and their dog, Kivu, currently live in Stoddard, NH.
Sarah Kuhn

Sarah Kuhn and Ella became friends in high school when Sarah asked innocently if Ella had ever heard of Destination ImagiNation and added Ella to the team when Ella answered, "yeah, what about it?" Ella was an adopted Kuhn at that point and could not escape, even if she wanted to - which she never has! Sarah and Ella have had many adventures since then, from car chases, competitions, and general shenanigans, Sarah is the best non-sister sister Ella could've dreamed of. Sarah and her cat, George Michael, live in Providence, RI.
Adam Semple

Adam and Ella met through Sarah Kuhn when Ella visited Roger Williams their freshman year of college and became friends after school when they both moved to Boston. In 2017, Adam brought Ella along to help with an idea he had for a biotech-fueled fundraiser for a local charity, the Friends of Boston's Homeless, a fundraiser Ella (with many pep talks) took over from him the following year. Adam, his wife Kelsey, Ella, and John have delighted in meeting up for a laughter and joy-filled afternoon or evening, be it a backyard dinner party, a boat ride around Boston Harbor, or a bottle of wine at a wine bar in Paris, France. In 2021, Ella married Adam and Kelsey in Florence, Italy. John and Ella are delighted to have Adam marry them! Adam, Kelsey, and their dog, Copper, live in Providence, RI.
