We met when John visited a friend at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. After spending a few hours with Monica, he asked for her number because she was beautiful and seemed like a good person. Monica thought he was cute, funny, and liked how he held the door, so she agreed!

After many hours of phone calls and trips to see each other, both John and Monica knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

On November 23, 2022, John and Monica prayed a rosary in St. Elizabeth’s Church in Lefor, North Dakota. John then got on one knee and proposed. Monica said "Yes!"
