Danielle and Mark met at Hudson Room in Peekskill, New York. That night Danielle's sister Jen invited her to go out to the bars in Peekskill. Danielle was working at Macy's and had crazy working hours with the holiday season and just wanted to go home to sleep. Danielle's mom called her on her way home and convinced her to just go out for one drink. Mark just got back from Maui and had no intention to go out but it was one of his friends birthday and he decided to tag along even though he was still jet lagged. Both Danielle and Mark were so close to never going to that bar that night. However fate brought both of them there and they have been inseparable since.

Danielle and Mark started their vacation at Saddlebrook Resort, Tampa for Mark's Nonni and Grandfather's 90th birthday trip. They were there from Friday to Monday where Mark had the nerve racking challenge of keeping the ring hidden from Danielle. On Monday Danielle and Mark left to go to Orlando to go on a 5 day cruise to Bahamas. Marks plan was to propose the first night on the boat. However they were both tired from traveling and no moment was feeling right. Mark decided he wanted to do it the next day where they would be in Bahamas on the Royal Caribbean private island called "Perfect Day CocoCay". Mark made plans with the cruise ship for them to take photos of the proposal. However they wanted Mark and Danielle to be back at the boat by 1pm for them to take the pictures of Mark proposing to Danielle. Mark and Danielle were having such a fun time on the island that Mark knew he could never get Danielle back to the boat by 1pm. So Mark decided to improvise. When Danielle and Mark were walking on the beach a Man asked Mark to take a picture of his family. Mark took a picture and then went up to the guy to ask him to take a picture of Danielle and Mark and show him how to use his phone. What Danielle didn't know is that Mark was actually asking the guy to take a video of them because he was about to propose. Danielle thought they were posing for a picture when Mark stepped back and got on one knee. He asked Danielle to be his wife and Danielle said Yes!! The beach went wild with cheering. It really was a Perfect Day at CocoCay!
