Bride
I am so excited for all of our closest friends and family members to attend our wedding! The absolute best part of having a destination wedding is we get to keep this event small and intimate, as to spend all of our time with the people we love the most! Our bridal party are some of the most special people in our lives and words can't explain what they mean to us. We asked them to write a little something about their personalities and our relationships with them so you could get to know them as well. We love and appreciate the time and money they have put into celebrating Patrik and I on our special day!
Groom
My friends and family are the most important things in my life. I am beyond grateful to spend the most special day of my life with them. I am so appreciative to everyone for taking the time to travel to spend Molly and I's big day with us!
Maid of Honor
My friendship with Molly started over a decade ago when we sat next to each other in art class at Rockford High School. I was mostly intrigued by how direct and blunt she was at an especially vulnerable age when most young girls don't really know who they are (ask her about the conversation when I asked her why my makeup never looked as good as hers). Well, she knew who she was (and would always be), and I knew we would be friends forever. After high school we went our separate ways for a few years but then reconnected through our mutual friends, the outcasts. We quickly became the best of friends through all the time spent getting dolled up, laughing our asses off, and just being there for each other when we both really needed someone. I am so blessed to be friends with an angel who will do anything for the people she loves. My heart is elated in knowing she and Patrik have found each other, and will take care of each other. This is only the beginning of the best part of our lives and I am grateful to be part of it. I love you, Molly!
Best Man
Patrik and I have been something between friends and brothers since we met in 5th grade. We’ve gone on family vacations together, played sports together, lived together in college, and kept in touch on practically a daily basis since we graduated. While I’m bummed Molly has been getting to spend more time with him than I have lately, I couldn’t be happier for the both of them.
Bridesmaid
Hi, I’m Caitlin Bainbridge. I was born and raised in Michigan, but now live in San Francisco. I’ve known Molly since birth and I am her favorite cousin. Just kidding haha! Molly and I grew up together. We lived on the same street literally five houses down from each other, and we are only eight weeks apart in age. Some of my favorite childhood memories of Molly and I are when, we would “share ice cream”… In other words, I would lick my finger, stick it her ice cream, and then she would give it to me now that my germs were in it. Along with when we would play with our Barbie’s, stuffed animals, and outside in the woods together. Now that we have grown older, we’ve only grown closer. I love hanging out and talking on the phone for hours with her about anything and everything. We support one another through thick and thin. She stood by me in my wedding and I’m so happy I get to stand by her in her wedding! I always told her she should meet an engineer (since that is what my husband does), and look at her now! Patrik and Molly together forever!
Groomsman
Pat and I have been great friends for years due in large to our shared love of video games, competitive sports, the swolly temple, good food, and plenty of things that are NSFW. Nothing will top the countless hours of duos in Warzone winning games, kill racing, letting our enemies know they are inferior and should uninstall, find a new hobby, and many more NSFW things. There is only one way to summarize our friendship: Synergy.
Bridesmaid
Hi, I'm Jozzy, one of Mollys bridesmaids! Molly and I met back in 2015 when we worked together at Heidi Christines hair salon. We became instant friends after Molly made me laugh quoting the movie Mean Girls saying that she had "Kalteen bars I could eat" when I told her I was trying to lose weight. IYKYK! But we have remained great friends all theses years because of our great sense of humors, anxious thoughts, and OCD and anti social tendencies!
Groomsman
I've known Pat for well over a decade. We've grown closer as the years went on growing from strangers, to friends, onto roommates, and finally to groomsman. I'm excited to see where his journey continues as I've been blessed to get to share part of his journey with him and can't wait to see where he goes next. I couldn't be happier for him and I hope his next journey involves golf lessons.
Mistress of Ceremonies
I first met Molly like many people do – she cut my hair. A few months and drinks later, she asked me to go to a barbecue with a bunch of people neither of us knew. So obviously, I said yes. This led us to an irreplaceable friendship of working out, eating, being mutual home-bodies, and filling in as wedding dates for each other. That last one ended up to me witnessing a very special moment indeed: Molly finding Patrik. I am honored to be part of their day and dance the night away with a best friend.
Officiant / Groomsmen
Blessed to have been college roommates and lifelong gym partners with Patrik. The only gym partner who’s ever had better abs than me.
Mother of the Bride
So hard to believe my only child is about to get married, and yet, it makes so much sense. I am grateful beyond measure that Patrik will be my son. I’m so excited about the doors about to be opened!
Father of the Bride
I can’t believe that my little girl that used to sit on my lap Saturday mornings and watch cartoons is old enough to be getting married. Now on Saturday mornings, we have coffee together and talk about her future with her new husband. I’m looking forward to seeing what the two will accomplish together.
