Our story began in the summer of 2020. Although we had both worked for the same company for almost a year, what actually brought us together was rock climbing. We had both picked up the activity individually, and through another mutual coworker, we began climbing together. This time spent together as friends allowed us to learn a lot about each other, and by Christmas of that year, a deeper interest had developed. From that point on we shared countless bike rides around downtown, frisbee and beer outings at Moore Square, adventures to Pilot Mountain and Moore’s Wall for rock climbing, and backpacking trips that somehow always ended up being more than we thought we were getting ourselves into. We have so many cherished memories from our time living in Raleigh that will always hold a special place in our hearts. In August of 2022, Kraemer moved to Utah, chasing after a dream he’d had since before we met. We did long distance for about nine months, and throughout that time it became more and more clear that our futures were together. By the next April, Molly took the leap and joined Kraemer in Utah. We’ve been exploring our new home together for almost a year now and it’s been an incredible adventure. Since moving to Utah, we've checked out the local craft beer scene, found our favorite pizza place, gone on weekend camping trips to the desert, done a ton of rock climbing at our new local crag, picked up some new activities like peak hiking, and skiing for Molly; and we’ve found a church with an awesome community where we've continued to grow in our faith individually and together. As for the proposal… While we were home this past Christmas, Kraemer decided it was time to get down on one knee. He managed to get us to our old favorite hang out spot, Moore Square, with Molly completely unsuspecting of what was about to happen, and pulled off the perfect surprise proposal, with Molly’s family all watching secretly from a distance. Of course the answer was “YES!”, and then we popped champagne in the park and went to dinner to celebrate. That night will forever feel like the sweetest dream that we never want to end. We are so grateful to have friends and family that love and support us, and we’re so excited to see God’s plan in our lives continue to unfold.
