Things To Do

McMinnville has a lot to do and is really centrally located. It's located an hour southwest of Portland and only an hour to the west is the Oregon Coast, but if you plan to stay close to town, there is plenty to do!

Third Street

Third Street has a lot of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee. They close the street on the weekends in the summer for outdoor dining. Some of our favorite places are: - McMenamin's Rooftop Bar has great views of downtown and is great in the summer. - The Sage Cafe has some of the best lunch in town. Get the broccoli cheddar soup with their homemade bread. - Bitter Monk Taproom has lots of different local beers. - Capo has great pizza and is one of our favorite dinner spots. - Harvest Fresh's deli has the best sandwiches. Jeff would eat there everyday if he could. - Wildwood Cafe and Crescent Cafe are two great breakfast spots. - Pura Vida Cocina has delicious Peruvian food. - Serendipity Ice Cream is the perfect treat in the Summer. - Farmers market every Thursday. - Wine tasting at lots of local tasting rooms located on 3rd. - Grain Station Brew Works has a great outdoor patio and is just a few blocks off 3rd. - Conservatory Bar has a great patio.

Crowing Hen

10282 Northeast Abbey Road, Carlton, OR 97111

Crowing Hen has great beers and an amazing outdoor space that is child friendly.

Wine Tasting

There are tons of wineries in the area and you can't go wrong with any of them, but a few favorites are Anne Amie, Stoller, Sokol Blosser, Brooks, and Cristom.

Evergreen Air & Space Museum

Check out the Spruce Goose and watch the Oregon International Air Show from 8/30-9/1 out at Evergreen. The Wings & Waves waterpark is a lot of fun for everyone.
