Question

Is there parking on-site?

Answer

Yes! There is a large parking lot - please note there is a short walk down a hill from the parking lot to the building, so feel free to drop off people at the venue door before parking, if needed. You can leave you car there overnight if you choose to take one of the shuttles back to the hotels, we just ask that you retrieve your car by 10am the next day!

is there a map showing the best route to the venue?

Answer

There is not - since there is some construction going on in the area, our venue owners have said that it's best to just use GPS to get to the venue. La Pointe Events 710 Sprint St Somerset, WI 54025 When you arrive, a parking attendant will ask which wedding you are there for, and will point you in the right direction.

Is there anything we should know if someone in our party has difficulty in mobility?

Answer

There is a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the venue, and there are stairs going down to the ceremony space. There is a gator cart on-site and anyone can ask for a ride! If you don't see them, call this number on the wedding day when you need a ride (715) 808-9188

is uber or lyft in the area?

Answer

Not really - but you can request in advance, read more about that option here https://www.ridester.com/schedule-uber/ There are taxi services, though, if you need help retrieving your car in the morning. The front desk at the hotel can provide recommendations for taxis!

what is the back up plan if it rains?

Answer

Our venue coordinator will make the call by noon on the wedding day if there is rain in the forecast. We will move the ceremony inside if needed.

will there be an open bar?

Answer

We are hosting wine until after dinner, and a few kegs for the evening! Other options are available for purchase, including cocktails.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

4:00-4:15 would be ideal! The bar will be open for purchasing drinks, and we will have some pretty great prelude music.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The music will end at 11pm. Shuttles going back to the hotels will depart at 10pm and 11pm. While there is no official after-party, you can absolutely keep things going and have the shuttle drop you somewhere fun in Downtown Hudson! Ziggys is great for more music and dancing but there are so many fun places down there. Call a taxi service beforehand to make sure there are some available in the area to take you home or to the hotel!

Are there still hotel rooms available in your blocks?

Answer

Our blocks are closed, but the hotels may still have availability outside of our blocks! You can absolutely give them a call to check.

Question

should guests take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We plan to have an "unplugged" ceremony, and will ask that guests keep their phones tucked away and let the pros do their job of documenting the ceremony -- but aside from that we would love to see what photos and videos our guests capture so snap away at cocktail hour and the reception!

Can we BYOB?

Answer

Please do not bring any alcohol to the venue!! They are very strict about this due to their licensing. There will be plenty of alcohol there for all who want to imbibe :) They will confiscate and fine if they see outside alcohol. Thank you!
