Husband & Wife

We've had a wildly eventful summer (and engagement!), so when through a series of circumstances, the opportunity presented itself for a small, intimate and meaningful wedding, we went for it. On Tuesday, August 8th (our actual 9th anniversary date), we tied the knot in a ceremony at City Hall in Alameda, CA. In attendance, and what made the occasion so memorable, were twenty of our dearest friends and family, including Sara's parents, Patt & Steve, as well as Scott's mom, Susan, and father, Michael.

Why not get married in Las Vegas? If you know Sara, you know this makes sense! Plus, our trip to Las Vegas had already been planned months in advance, with family and friends visits included. So when the opportunity presented itself to celebrate again, we bet on it! Especially meaningful was that Sara's brother, Joshua, and his family, as well as Scott's sister, Kaila, and her son Ean were able to attend. Scott and Sara wed (again) in a small ceremony in front of ten people on Friday, September 1st at the Little Church of the West, in Las Vegas, Nevada. We decided to keep our wedding quiet for a few weeks because we wanted time to reflect on and absorb our most recent family developments. Scott's father, Michael, passed away nine days after our wedding in Alameda. Our focus was on our family and friends and in celebrating his life. We are so grateful and happy that Mike was able to attend the wedding. It truly was a gift for all of us. During these last few weeks, several people have helped us tremendously. Their love and support has lifted us up and helped make our wedding experience amazing. We'd like to thank the following: Michael Miller: For his support, love and spirit.
