Despite living 5 minutes apart growing up, sharing many mutual friends and attending rival high schools, we somehow managed not to meet until going on our first date. That's not to say that one of us hadn't spotted out (and was hoping to meet) the other one of us aka "that cute basketball player from Camas High School" in earlier years. But it wasn't time yet.... Flash forward several years and after venturing off to college, we both had made the move back to the irresistible city of Camas. Unlike us, our younger siblings, Jordan & Cassidy, did meet and become friends in high school. After some time spent around each others families, they mutually agreed "our siblings should meet." Of course, it wasn't quite that simple. Neither one of us were looking to be set up and were a bit skeptical of the matchmaking abilities of our siblings and their friends. To our favor, they stayed persistent. And it was through the power of some seriously relentless 17 year olds, we caved and agreed to entertain them by going on a date...with zero expectations. Turns out we never should have doubted them. You could say things went well. So well, we hung out that very next day...
