Our Adventure

Although we had been on a few minor adventures as friends, Mac decided it was time for our first date. On May 23rd of 2020 we woke up hours before sunrise and made the two hour trek to the perfect sunrise picture spot. We spent the morning taking scenic pictures and looking out over the expanse as the sun lit up the Blue Ridge Mountains as far as the eye could see. Since that day Beacon Heights has held a special place in our heart. Over the next three years we had many adventures all over the country and many memorable moments. Through experiencing Lighthouses & Hikes in Maine>North Carolina Mountains >Georgia Aquarium & Georgia Hikes>Red Rocks of Sedona, Rocks of Antelope Canyon, Water of Horseshoe Bend, & the Beauty of the Grand Canyon> Beach of South Carolina> City of New York> Mountains of Tennessee our love grew deeper. May 20th, 2023, Mac woke me up early and told me to get in the truck for another adventure. After another two hour trek, and a short hike we were back at Beacon Heights and on the foggiest morning we’ve ever experienced he got down on one knee and asked to start our next big adventure by being his wife. He slipped my grandmother’s engagement ring on my finger. When I looked down at the ring it was slightly different then the ring I remembered. The side diamonds where replaced with emeralds instead. He explained that emeralds are a life-affirming stone and one of infinite patience. It is known as the stone of successful love and represents great loyalty and integrity.
