New York has been steadily increasing testing options, including public and private testing. The city's COVID testing website lists options that are free, take insurance or pay out of pocket. That can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/coronavirus/get-tested/covid-19-testing.page Additionally, if guests have home rapid test kits they may take a test the day of the wedding and provide a photo of the results either at the venue or by emailing wedding@mituandjustin.com.
Beginning August 16, workers and customers at restaurants, bars, museums, theaters, gyms and other establishments are required to show proof of vaccine to enter.
Under the new guidelines, New York recognizes vaccines approved by the CDC and the World Health Organization—which includes vaccines produced by AstraZeneca. A paper vaccination card works in all circumstances. There are also two different apps for showing proof of vaccination: NYC COVID Safe, which snaps a picture of your vaccination card. Excelsior Pass is the New York State vaccine passport, which connects to a vaccination record for individuals who received their shot within New York State. Beginning in November the U.S. lifted restrictions on air travel to non residents and visa holders from places like the United Kingdom, Ireland and other countries. Vaccinated travelers will need to carry proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test from within 24 hours of departure. Any vaccines approved by the World Health Organization are good for entry to the U.S.
As of June 25, 2021, New York lifted its travel advisory, meaning people visiting from outside the state no longer have to fill out travel health documents.
