Mitchell and I like to take trail walks, even though I found out he originally wanted to propose at Red-Jacket Trail (sadly road was closed for construction) we decided Sibley Park would be just fine for a walk. We started walking and he kept stopping to look at rocks, which is normal for him. I am patient with him but after a while I finally told him, while walking ahead, "Mitchell, if I was going to walk alone, I would have brought the dog with me." he spoke up, pretty much ignoring what I said, "Jaycee, look at this cool rock." I sort of mumbled under my breath, having to look at another "rock"; at this point it was probably the 8th rock we stopped for. I turn around and see him on his knee. You can tell he was nervous and winged it, because it was in the box it shipped in, and the tag was still around the ring. I chuckled because it was so cute, and like him to just be nervous and wing it. Of course I said yes, and after I giggled a little more. I mentioned to him how, some people get proposal boxes and at least take the tag off the ring. He said, and I still smile when I remember this part, "Before I told you to turn around, I had to open it to make sure I opened it the right way, which thankfully I did, because I did have it upside down." I then cracked into laughter. He is cheesy, ridiculous, and a pain in my butt when it comes to 'details matter' - but he is my cheesy, ridiculous, pain in the butt... and I said yes because that is who he is, makes me laugh and smile, when I least expect it. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in St.Paul, MN!
