We met on the playground of Bang Elementary in 2005. We were nine years old and in the fourth grade. I remember that Jade was a girl who was always smiling on the playground. From that day on, we remained friends and became even closer friends with years to come. Fast forward to the year 2013. In 2013 we were seniors in high school and I asked Jade to the Homecoming Dance. I asked her by wearing a shirt that I made where she had to check yes or no. To my luck, she checked the yes box. Now fast forward four more years to 2017. We were both in college. On April 16th, 2017 I officially asked Jade to be my girlfriend. To my luck, she said yes to being my girlfriend with that same smile I remembered from the playground. Now I get to see that smile forever. - Mitchell

Mitchell created a "birthday" scavenger hunt that would lead me to what I thought was a fancy dinner, but it was actually the site of the proposal. The scavenger hunt consisted of clues with locations we both cherished, such as, the place we first met, the place we had our first date, the place we had our first kiss, and the place where he told me that he loved me for the first time. At the end of the scavenger hunt we arrived at the proposal site where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Our friends and family were waiting on the other side to surprise me with a birthday/engagement party. The proposal site will now be another location we will cherish forever. - Jade
