Like many people, we met in college. He was in a fraternity, studying to become a biomedical engineer, and about to get a co-op in Indiana. And I, in a college comedy group and going through a "What am I doing with my life?" crisis. I was in the process of changing my major and planning to stay in Cincinnati after graduation. I once told Mitchell, looking back, if we could see a calendar of our lives during the week we met, we could not have picked a less ideal time for us to meet and begin the journey of falling in love. And yet, life found a way (as it always seems to do). Despite our schools basketball teams being bitter rivals (and Xavier being clearly superior) Mitchell and I immediately clicked. From the minute we met I knew I'd found my person. It felt like I had known him my entire life. He so naturally became a part of my days that I quickly realized I would follow this man anywhere and everywhere. As long as we could be together, I was happy. Once I realized that, I knew when he asked me the question, that I was going to say yes to doing something I swore I'd never do........... agree to move to Indiana! (And if that's not love I don't know what is because seriously have you ever been here). Even being in a state I swore up and down I'd never live in, I am so happy I chose to go with him, and would say yes to that question again in a heartbeat. The same way I would say yes 1000% times to being his wife. All this is to say, life has not stopped flying by since that we met. Being with Mitchell flipped my life plan around in the biggest and best possible way. I can confidently say my life changed for the better the day we met, and I knew when I opened the door for our first date that I had found my future. Mitchell knew he had found the prettiest and funniest girl who would make his life anything but dull. I once asked him when he "knew" he loved me, and he said it was while he was watching me perform in one of my groups comedy shows. Which fits, because he still laughs at all my jokes (even when he has no idea what reference I am making). What each of us lack is what the other provides, and through life's ups and downs we are confident we have found the person we were meant to be with. We both feel so lucky and excited for this next step in our lives, and Mitchell - I am so beyond excited to be your wife. Can't wait to meet you at the altar on September 2nd.
