Freedom Park

Located a few miles from Uptown this 98-acre park sits between the historic neighborhoods of Dilworth and Myers Park. Offering miles of paved trails, playgrounds for kids, and beautiful scenery, Freedom Park is the perfect place to enjoy nature without having to leave the city.

Romare Bearden Park

An Uptown must! This adorable 5.4-acre public park is nestled in the middle of Uptown and offers stunning views of the soaring skyline. Check out the statues and waterfalls, or just rest your legs on the many benches or lush grass. Just don’t miss it!

Marshall Park

Nestled among the city is this five-and-a-half-acre urban park in Charlotte’s Second Ward. Featuring a large fountain and a lake, an amphitheater, a statue of Martin Luther King Jr., and a Holocaust memorial monument. Its open grassy areas and unobstructed views of the Charlotte skyline make it a great place to relax.

Mint Museum Uptown

Located in the heart of Charlotte’s burgeoning city center and Designed by Machado and Silvetti Associates of Boston, this five-story, 145,000-square-foot facility combines inspiring architecture with cutting-edge exhibitions to provide visitors with unparalleled educational and cultural experiences. The Mint Museum

Located in what was the original branch of the United States Mint, Mint Museum Randolph opened in 1936 in Charlotte’s Eastover neighborhood as North Carolina’s first art museum. Today, in a beautiful park setting, intimate galleries invite visitors to engage with the art of the ancient Americas, ceramics and decorative arts, and European and African art, among other collections.
