Seaview, WA is a small town on the Washington coast. It’s about 2.5 hour drive from PDX Airport or a 3 hour drive from Seattle. The nearest city is the picturesque town of Astoria, OR- well known for its starring role in the movie The Goonies.
We’d love folks to join us for a glamping beach vacation. Come on July 31 for a potluck bbq and bring your best cover song or interpretive dance for a wedding-wide talent show. The next day we’ll drink coffee together and get ready for the main event and prepare some food in the outdoor kitchen and individual trailer kitchens for the post nuptials potluck. Stay for a few days before after if you want to spend more time with us! All nights before and after the wedding at the Sou’wester will be discounted! We’re hoping to avoid the rush and chaos of a one day event and actually spend time with you all.
Great question. 1) We are planning to have a potluck barbecue the night before our nuptials where all folks bring a grillable item or side dish to share, casual family style. 2) For the feast after the ceremony— We will be offering fresh wild-caught salmon and plan to have folks prepare side dishes and vegan delights to share. We will all be able to enjoy the grounds together regardless of where you stay, and look forward to sharing the Sou’wester, which is near and dear to us, with you, who are also near and dear to us. However, feel free to stay elsewhere nearby, there are many great airbnb and hotel options. There are also many camping options, and if money is tight, let us know! There will be some camping options on-site for folks who are wanting to come but might not be able to rent something. Come for the talent show, come for the ceremony, come for the feast, come hang with us for a couple of days before and after the hoopla, or not!
