9 years into our relationship, Michael decided it was time to propose. He was a few months away from finishing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and ready to start his life. Michael also knew that Minerva was expecting him to propose after graduating and working for some time, but he wanted to surprise her by proposing early. His original plan was to propose at Manresa Beach, CA and he even scouted out the perfect location along the shoreline (and was also stung by a bee in the process). Unfortunately a rainstorm was forecasted at the last minute and he was forced to change his plans. Thankfully the maid of honor Alondra and the mother of the groom Lisa were able to help Michael call an audible and change the site to Rios-Lovell winery in Livermore, which had a gazebo to protect us from the weather. Alondra and bridesmaid Andrea arrived early to set the scene with flowers and signs, and Michael popped the question.
