Mindy and Austin were in the same church fellowship and some-what circles for 2-3 years, but never exchanged more than 2 words. One day, Mindy’s roommate (giving you credit here, Mrs. Ha) suggested to her that Austin would be a good fit and with a compelling argument of having similar “hearts.” Mindy, stubbornly, rejected the idea and thought he was too young (she was two grades above him). Nevertheless, a seed was planted. They finally crossed paths in an international ministry where they started to exchange not just two words, but serve alongside each other, boulder, play volleyball, chat and eat ice cream until 2am (yes, Austin is very lactose). Finally, in a night under the stars, Austin asked Mindy to be his girlfriend. Almost two years later, he asked her to marry him in that exact spot.
