Throughout our lives, we had one thing in common. We spent our summers at Lakeshore Center at Okoboji. Although we both grew up spending our summers at this little summer camp, we did not meet until we both volunteered as counselors in 2018. During that week of meeting, we both saw a spark, but because we lived 3.5 hours away from each other, we stayed in contact during the school year as friends. Once the next summer had rolled around, we were both very excited to spend the next few months together as counselors at Lakeshore Center. During that summer, we spent all of our free time together and made it official on July 20th, 2019.

For our 4 year anniversary, we decided to take a trip back to our favorite place, Lakeshore Center at Okoboji. After a magical day visiting our favorite local spots around Okoboji, we headed back to the camp. To end the night, we took a walk on beach to watch the stars. As we went to sit on the dock, Ryan got on one knee and asked the easiest question I have ever answered! I said yes!!!
