Her version- I met Matthew Kaczmarek a little over six years ago through my friend that was dating his brother Nick. I agreed to "third wheel" their movie date, but when I showed up to Nicks parents house his brother Matt was standing in the kitchen awaiting to join us. This was in no means a date! Let's just say Matt was a little loud, his shirt had the most amount of pockets I have ever seen, and he slammed the door in my face after leaving the theater... The only thing he had working for him that night was his sense of humor. I had never laughed so much in my life my cheeks hurt. We then headed back towards Oconomowoc and we stumbled into their favorite local spot Burkes. We all stood around the bar talking when the bar tender hands me a drink from another guy across the room whom I had no intentions of talking to. I politely thanked the guy across the bar for the drink, but he didn't want our conversation to end. Matt swooped in like superman and put his arm around me and told the guy she's with me. After that the rest was history! To this day I still look at the shirt with a million pockets in our closet. I am so happy I decided to crash my old friends movie date, because if I didn't I might not have met the wonderful man I am about to marry, Matthew Kaczmarek.

His version - I met Ashley through my brother Nick's girlfriend at the time. Nick had asked if I wanted to go to a movie earlier that day and I said sure I have nothing going on. Little did I know that Ashley was going to be going with us. Next thing I know Ashley comes walking through the door at my parents house and my first thought was WOW shes gorgeous, and then I thought she's too high maintenance for me. She was wearing a brown knee high boots, a nice pair of jeans, and a brown leather jacket. Boujee.... I was willing to see where the night led though and we left for the movie. I sat next to Nick and she sat next to her friend, the movie ended and as we were walking out to the car Ashley decided to come out the door that I came out and it was already too late for me to hold the door. It almost took the lightweight off her feet and I felt terrible. I also think it brought her down a notch as well and it turned out to be a good ice breaker. We were all joking around and decided to hit up our favorite bar in town Burkes(at the time) now Lucky Chucky's. We were there for maybe 10 minutes and Ashley had already been bought a drink from a guy from across the bar. I could tell she wasn't feeling it, but the guy decided to come over and shoot his shot. I let it play for a minute or two and then decided to put a stop to it. I put my arm around her and said "hey bud thanks for buying her a drink but she's with me." He walked away and she had a huge smirk on her face. Score, maybe I made up for letting the door almost take her off her feet. It ended up being a night I will never forget, it was the night I met the love of my life.
