From grad school classmates to coworkers to best buds, Maggie has always loved and supported Jess! She and Jess became close while working together at a CPA firm after graduating from Salisbury. As a fellow CPA, she was an unbelievable friend while Jess studied for the CPA exam. She often joked about being a stand in date while Matty was still living in Pennsylvania, until he came to visit. But of course when he did, all three would still meet up for dinner or drinks and spend time together. We are so grateful that she is part of our special day!
Chad Doban
Best Man
Chad has been Matty's best friend since way back in elementary school where they became fast friends enjoying video games and Weird Al music. The two have gone on numerous trips together including opening day at PNC Park, riding coasters in Cedar Point and relaxing by the pool on a ship in the Caribbean. He was first introduced to Jess via the fantasy football league Matty and Jess play in. His large beard and many tattoos may make him look like a grizzly bear, but underneath he's really a lovable teddy bear. We are very excited that this teddy bear will be supporting us on our big day.
Lindsay Adams
Bridesmaid
Lindsay is Matty's oldest sister, and right away Jess felt like they "clicked." It could be that they are close in age, that they are both CPAs, they share a love of a good beach read, Bravo tv shows, Celine Dion songs, espresso martinis or all things turquoise. Jess knows without a doubt, if they had met outside of Matty, the two would be close friends, but in this case it was Matty that brought them together! Jess is so blessed to be gaining this friend as a sister and to have Lindsay as one of her bridesmaids!
Timmy Kissinger
Groomsman
Early on in Matty and Jess's relationship, Timmy (being only 9 years old) tagged along on one of their first dates. Since both brothers are pretty competitive, Timmy teamed up with Jess to beat Matty in a board game. Matty grew closer to his favorite brother, Timmy, after moving back home after college. They bonded over sports, fantasy football and video games. Matty is so thrilled to have his brother as a groomsman for his big day!
Carly Kissinger
Bridesmaid
It was Matty's other sister Carly that brought Jess home to meet the whole Kissinger family! They had only been dating a short time and Matty asked if Jess would like to come meet his family for Carly's confirmation. At all family events, Carly was always so sweet, welcoming and easy to connect with. She has always been able to make Jess laugh and be a good voice of reason if Jess needed advice. Jess is so thankful to have Carly in her wedding party and could not ask for a better sister to be gaining!
Shane Mill
Groomsman
Fellow Penn Stater and brother of the bride, Shane and Matty had plenty to bond over when they first met at Jess's birthday party. They connected over their love of sports (aside from their rival hockey teams,) Penn State football, THON, standards for mimosas and enjoying trying different craft beers. Since then, Matty and Jess have enjoyed visiting Shane in DC, attending Penn State football games, getting drinks at their old favorite places in State College and hanging together in Dewey Beach. Matty is excited to have Shane standing with him as he and Jess get married!
Christina Nash

Christina met Matty and Jess while THON captains together in 2010 at Penn State. Before becoming a couple, Matty and Jess spent lots of their time hanging out with Christina in State College and the 3 quickly became good friends. Staying in touch through the years and of course meeting up for the annual New Year's Eve trip back to State College with friends, Christina would always ask when Matty and Jess would finally tie the knot! Christina has witnessed the start of Matty and Jess's friendship and the evolution of their relationship and is thrilled to stand by them as they marry each other.
Edgar Ramirez

Edgar was another fellow THON captain with Matty and Jess at Penn State, although they really got to be close friends with Edgar after graduating. While there were always friend reunion get togethers in State College for NYE, Arts Fest or Football games, it was after Edgar moved to the DC area that Matty and Jess were able to spend more time with him. Edgar has always been a great friend and support to both Matty and Jess that it is no wonder this fellow Penn Stater will be standing with them on their wedding day!
Susie Sternard

Susie and Jess got along right away when Shane brought her home to the family! Jess loves her love of board games, Big 10 sports and trying new craft brews. Their best memories together are hanging in downtown Annapolis and these two have grown even closer this past year as they both work through wedding planning stresses. Sus is always fun, sweet, easygoing and easy to talk to. Jess is so lucky to be gaining her as a sister and to have her by her side as Jess and Matty marry each other. She is a welcome addition to the wedding party!
