Erik was born and raised in a small town in Illinois for most of his life. Before the COVID pandemic, he moved to Atlanta in early 2020 to start his next chapter in life with Sarah. Erik continues to pursue his education and career in IT. His favorite things to do are playing with his pets, going to the gym, trying new places to eat, photography, video games, and spending time with Sarah.
Sarah
Bride
Born and raised in the Aloha State of Hawaii, Sarah moved to Atlanta when she was 12. She now works for the Atlanta VA Hospital, researching how alcohol affects the cells in your lungs. Her favorite things are spending time with her cats, trying new places to eat, taking her dog to the park, cooking, doing nails, horseback riding, and playing video games.
Mike
Officiant
Mike is Tati's husband but quickly became a good friend of Sarah and Erik. Mike was asked to be Sarah and Erik's wedding officiant because he is smart, funny, witty, and well-spoken. You can find Mike spending time with his wife and dogs, working on his cars, winning board games, or working on one of his many at-home projects.
Liam
Ring Bearer
Ever since little Liam was born on March 30, 2020 he has always brighten up the room with his presence. From living in the swamps of Florida to moving into the lesser humid but still humid Georgia, he has grown strong, happy, and healthy due to his parents' love and care. Now 4, he has accomplished gaining medals and trophies from playing in a soccer team, excelled in Montessori school, and is also a professional pizza chef.
Austin
Best Man
Austin is Erik's best man and younger brother. Growing up, Austin and Erik did not see much eye to eye, but they matured into the family's cornerstones as the years went by. Erik is incredibly proud of the man his brother has become and is honored to have him share such an important day together. Today, Austin enjoys playing with his dogs, spending time with his fiance, working on his car, golfing, playing soccer, snowboarding, and fishing.
Christine
Matron of Honor
Christine is one of Sarah's Maid of Honors, and has become one of her closest friends throughout the years. Sarah and Christine met at Georgia State University in 2012 and quickly bonded over the struggles of school and the joys of food. Christine has excelled not only in her career but also in her family life with her husband, Julian, and son Liam. She is now in the process of getting her Master's Degree at Georgia Tech. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching and teaching Liam the dos and don'ts of life, trying out new cuisines, hanging out with her friends, and creating events that allow her friends and family both bond together.
Juan
Groomsman
Erik has known Juan since they were both little kids. Growing up together in Illinois, they were practically family. Juan has been one with many quirks but has always been a dependable friend to Erik. Juan enjoys golfing, photography, going to the gym, working around the house, hanging out with his dog, and volunteering at the local fire department.
Helen
Maid of Honor
Helen is one of Sarah's Maid of Honors, and their friendship has lasted 12 years. At the beginning of college, both their parents set them up on "blind dates" saying that the other had no friends and that they should try to be friends. That was a lie, they both had friends, but that was the best decision their parents had made because here they are now in their 30s riding and thriving together. Helen has always made a positive impact on whoever she meets because of her fun and life-loving nature. She enjoys pottery, hanging out with friends and family, traveling, thrifting, and spending time with her now 2 cats.
Seth
Groomsman
Seth and Erik met in 2010 when they decided to partner up and open a graphic design shop online. Little did they know that the partnership turned into a genuine and long-lasting friendship, and they continued to bond over their love for video games. Seth is from Florida, where he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, rock climbing, playing video games, or simply watching a good TV show from the comfort of his bed with his wife, Janessa, and three cats.
Tati
Bridesmaid
Tati and Sarah met during their college years and have created a close bond over board games, hang outs, and food. Tati had gone to China for school, but soon returned back to Georgia after she had graduated where she and Sarah were able to create a closer bond. Tati enjoys playing board games, traveling, gardening, spending quality time with her family, and walking/hiking with her husband Mike and their two pups Mac and Kenji.
Nick
Groomsman
Nick and Erik have only known each other since 2021, but since then, they have become great friends, bonding over their shared interests, such as computers and video games. Nick is from Florida, where he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing video games, going on morning runs, practicing his Spanish, doing mixed martial arts, and wrestling alligators. When Nick is around, you know it will be a good time!
Kat
Bridesmaid
Kat and Sarah met in the lab in 2021, and quickly bonded to becoming great friends as the years came. Kat has graduated with her Ph.D at Emory University, and she is currently working in a research lab at Emory during her postdoc. She enjoys having her friends over to watch The Bachelor, reading, exploring new places to eat and hang out in Atlanta, and spending time with her husband, Lee, and their bernedoodle Charlie.
Emily
Flower Girl
Emily is Erik's youngest sibling. They have always been close growing up, sharing a love for all things nerdy. She works as a certified nursing assistant as she loves to help people, but she is working on making a career switch to an IT professional. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Deven, and three cats.
