I am meeting Mikey's entire family in Mississippi for the very first time during Thanksgiving! I feel so blown away by everyone's warmth and kindness.

We celebrated Christmas a few days early, as Mikey was going to spend the actual holiday in Flowood, Mississippi with his family.

Just before the New Year, we went on a hike back to where we had our first kiss.

It's early January of 2022... Work is stressing us both out. We need a vacation! Broken Bow, Oklahoma provided us just that!

Aaaaaand then we come back to Fort Worth, Mikey gets COVID, is out of commission for a hot minute. Peep the IV bag on the wall.

Luckily by Valentine's Day, Mikey was feeling a lot better.

That same day, he surprised me with dinner reservations at our favorite restaurant in Dallas, the Smoky Rose.

July- I'm having a bad day and craving a Cosmic Brownie. Mikey checks CVS ... nope. He searches inside 7-Eleven for a while before coming out with their last 2 Cosmic Brownies. True love!!

Our first 4th of July as a couple. The last 4th of July I was out with friends and Mikey asked me on a date via Instagram :)

I wasn't going to be home for our 1 year anniversary (I was preparing for a travel assignment in Denver), so I gave Mikey his present a little early. Safe to say he likes it.

I promise Mikey knows everyone's names now! This was the last time I got to see everyone before my Denver assignment.

He did it... He drove me to Colorado, and now he was going to fly back home :( I wasn't sure how it was going to work, but we both had faith in our relationship and each other.

I may have been in CO and he might have been in TX, but he still sent the prettiest roses I've ever seen for our 1 year anniversary.

Our dog Maya had a medical scare during this time and had to be briefly hospitalized, and this photo is from when she was finally home!!!

Aug. 6, 2022- REUNITED!!! 3 weeks spent apart, and Mikey came for a visit. It was so good to see him again. Of course he was sooo exhausted as he had just worked a 48 hr shift.

We went straight to our lodge in Grand Lake, dropped our things off, and went on a beautiful hike!

Remember that mint tin? Mikey had staged a moment so that I would reach into his backpack, find the mint tin from a year prior, and open it to find a diamond ring. And then he proposed!

The next day spent in Winter Park... an impromptu yet wonderful stop!

Mikey is back in TX, I'm finishing up my contract in Denver... I am thrilled to hear he's having dinner at our house with my family!!

Ok! I am back! The day after Mikey drives me home, we are in a wedding. So of course we dress the part!! (Thanks, Aiden & Alyssa for having the coolest dress code ever!)

Marilynn and Ray (aka Maya's Gigi and Poppy) come into town in early September. I invited Marilynn to attend my wedding dress appointment, and was thrilled she could come!
