Milwaukee Art Museum
Mike and Rachel have had several dates at the art museum and even had our photos taken there right after he proposed! We love the MAM after dark series and our favorite Milwaukee artist is Reginald Baylor, who has his art on display in the museum.
Milwaukee Public Market
This two story public market is near Mike's old apartment so we would often walk there to grab coffee, brunch, or dinner. There is a great mix of restaurants, cooking classes and live bands. One of our favorite restaurants within the public market is On the Bus.
Beerline Cafe
Mike and Rachel have celebrated two Valentines at this vegetarian restaurant, which offers a "Vegantines" four course meal. We love this place for a quick, casual bite to eat in the summer on the patio with the dogs.
Kimpton Journeyman Hotel
The Journeyman hotel boasts one of the coolest views of the city on their outdoor rooftop bar. Order some drinks, relax and soak in all the views and chic people watching.
Blu
Blu is a cool jazz lounge at night and a sophisticated tea room during the day. Enjoy the 180 degree view of the city skyline and the lake. This is where Mike took Rachel before he proposed!
Harley-Davidson Museum
If you have a craving for the open road with an engine throttling between your legs make sure to make your way to the Harley Davidson museum and learn about the history of the hog!
Lakefront Brewery
One of the most popular brewery tours among locals, learn about beer, see how its made and enjoy a bountiful tasting! This brewery is located on the river and is just a stone's throw from Mike and Rachel's House in Historic Brewer's Hill!
Discovery World
Whether you have kids or are just a kid at heart this place is filled with wonder and endless exploration. Stop in for a few entertaining hours or spend a whole day getting lost in curiosity!
Colectivo Coffee Lakefront
There are several Collectivo Coffee locations in and around Milwaukee, but this location is likely one of the most historic. Housed in an old river flushing station that was built in 1888 this coffee house is a great place to unwind, relax, and grab a quick bite. Mike and Rachel have stopped here on several bike rides along the lake front.
The Best Pizza Around! Wy'east
This is hands down our favorite pizza around! Be sure you head there when you are not in a hurry, good things take time! This pizza has been on "best pizza" lists locally and for good reason. The crust is out of this world and the toppings are unbeatable.
Zócalo Food Park
On a beautiful evening there is nothing better than eating outside in a casual, fun environment and Zocalo fits the bill! Five permanent food trucks (Taco truck, burger truck, rice bowl truck, bagel truck and ice cream truck!) and a rotating sixth truck ensure variety and tons of flavor!
Pilcrow Coffee
You guys! This place has won the 2019 National Champion for America’s Best Espresso and it is literally right down the street from our house! As coffee shop lovers this is fantastic news for us. We got to meet the owner and congratulate him in person at our neighborhood block party!
Crossroads Collective
This is one of the newest spaces around Milwaukee, a collective of unique restaurants in a modern beautiful food court.
NorthSouth Club
Part tiki bar, part axe bar, part shuffleboard park, part lodge, part sports bar....what is this place? It's the North South Club. A new social gathering space venue in Milwaukee.
