Maid of Honor
Alicia finds joy and laughter in everything, and this is a quality essential for survival in any grad program! We really bonded on trips to Florida, LA, and especially Las Vegas for Alicia’s bachelorette. Want to make a friend for life? Bring Alicia a Bud Light at our reception.
Best Man
The man of dependability. Mike’s older brother John used to be the troublemaker of the family during Mike’s early years, but John matured into one of the most dependable men that Mike knows.
Bridesmaid
One of my few fellow DC residents! Caitlin and I loved meeting up at breweries around DC and were both avid city wanderers (sometimes finding ourselves in some less desirable areas lol) . Meeting through a truly random dinner group that generated so many insane stories, I am so grateful to call Caitlin a friend!
Groomsman
The man with unstoppable fabulousness. Brian and Mike went through harrowing grad school experiences at Penn State, but Brian made an oasis during those times with gatherings and weekend trips to Philly. Little did either of them know that both would be moving to the Philly area later on.
Bridesmaid
Li and I met through the zany space we called work, Friendly High School. Despite the school not living up to its name, Li and I have stayed friends for over a decade. Li has always believed in me, and pushed me to take on opportunities. We have a common love of big dreams, and I am grateful for her having my back from starting as a new therapist, all the way to running an entire nonprofit.
Groomsman
The man with a solid passion for challenging himself. Harsha was full of surprises during Mike’s undergrad experiences at Virginia Tech, and still is.
Bridesmaid
Lisa was the first Mac sibling that I met, and she immediately made me feel at ease and welcomed! Thoughtful, deliberate, and incredibly fun (just like her bro!) I’m so excited to be her sister in law and to share future adventures!
Groomsman
The man of endless entertainment. James was roommates with Mike during undergrad at Virginia Tech for the longest time. James demonstrated that life wasn’t meant to be taken so seriously.
Bridesmaid
Shay and I met because of a co-worker’s drunk boyfriend showing up at school, causing quite the stir… we immediately clicked and have shared so many incredible experiences– whether it’s watching reality TV, exploring DC, spending time in bars & speakeasys, we can always laugh and she helps me make the best of any situation. Shay helped me find my voice, confidence, and sass
Groomsman
The anti-James man. Mike Emili kept things in balance with a sense of responsibility amongst his four crazy roommates at Virginia Tech.
Maid of Honor
Virginia and I are incredibly similar, though it may not seem like it initially! Both of us are quirky, very distractible, and likely to have a lot of highly specific knowledge about an uncommon topic. VA is my meme bestie on instagram, keeping me laughing throughout the day.
Groomsman
The man with the most eclectic hobbies. Rob kept things weird during Mike’s undergrad experiences at Virginia Tech.
