(Hi! This is Laurie typing) As most of you know, my parents are from Pittsburgh. My brother and I grew up making multiple trips each year to visit our extended family. Pittsburgh is our second home. GO STEELERS!

The 'Pittsburgh Cookie Table' is a tradition that dates back to the early twentieth century & the hardships of the great depression. Immigrants in the Pittsburgh Area utilized their baking traditions to create a cookie table in lieu of an elaborate wedding cake. This task was shared among grandmothers, aunts, cousins. The women of the family are proud to call it a labor of love. 

My mom was a baker. I love to bake as well. To honor both my parents, especially my angel mom's heritage... I'd love to have this incredible tradition incorporated at our wedding.
