There is plenty to see and do on Main Street - including seeing a Broadway quality show at the John W. Engeman Theatre, wine tasting at the Tasting Room on Main, and browsing the incredible seasonal displays of collectibles at Cow Harbor Fine Gifts and Collectibles. Breakfast at Tim's Shipwreck Diner, where you'll get great eggs and can reminisce about the restaurant scene from "In and Out" starring Kevin Kline and Tom Selleck, because that is where it was filmed. Del Vino is a great vineyard that is located in Northport and 2 miles from Northport Village.

Nassau County Museum of Art Located in the Town of Oyster Bay and the Town of North Hempstead, Roslyn Harbor is one of the most charming North Shore Long Island towns. It’s also home to one of the most visited museums on Long Island. This art museum in Nassau County NY is located on the former Clayton estate, an excellent example of the many Gold Coast mansions in the area. Cradle of Aviation Museum Located in Uniondale, a hamlet of Garden City, the Cradle of Aviation Museum is an aerospace museum that celebrates Long Island’s history as the “Cradle of Aviation.” The museum is located on the former Long Island Air Force Base. Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium The Vanderbilt Museum is one of the most famous Gold Coast museums of Long Island and the former estate of William Vanderbilt II. The 43-acre estate was named Eagle’s Nest. It was donated at his death for use as a museum for his many collections. The Vanderbilt museum is operated by Suffolk County.
Bethpage State Park Perhaps best known for its world-class golf courses, this park also has great hiking and biking trails and is the starting point for the bike path that leads to Jones Beach along the Wantagh State Parkway. Families can enjoy the picnic grounds or watch a polo match from June through October. Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve Trails for hiking, horseback riding, running, cross-country skiing, and more can be found at this scenic nature preserve. Historic buildings house equestrian services as well as environmental education programs for kids. Fishing and scuba diving (by permit) are also available.
